At the xiaolin temple, it might have been midnight, but Raimundo was still wide awake on his bed mat thinking about his admittingly one-sided kiss with Kimiko back in Tokyo that day.
Raimundo Pedrosa's brain: Just how long has it even been since that kiss I gave Kim which she didn't return? A week? Maybe two? No! It's been over a month since then, and I'm still crazy with jealousy.
Raimundo sat up from his bed mat and just glanced around, even when there was nothing there but the contents of his own room cubicle. He sighed, plopped down onto his bed mat and just wrapped himself back up under his covers.
Raimundo Pedrosa: I hate sleepless nights.
Meanwhile in Japan, Kimiko was feeling the exact same feeling as Raimundo was feeling back at the temple at that same time. She just could not get even a wink of sleep even by one a.m. as she looked out over the railings of her own balcony.
Kimiko Tohomiko: I hate sleepless nights.
At least for Kimiko, the moon was out and shining brightly, making itself a beautiful sight in the night sky.
Kimiko Tohomiko's mind: Come on, Kimiko. It's been over a month since that, well, incident with you-know-who. You should feel free to forget about it by now.
She breathed in a huff of air before breathing out.
Kimiko Tohomiko: Still, though, did that kiss even mean anything to you____ at all?
Kimiko suddenly felt the thought of it giving her a bit of a chill along with the nightly wind. She decided to head back to bed and try to find the will to fall asleep, not to mention she would finally be warm under her blankets. Maybe, just maybe, Kimiko would probably get an answers to her question from her dreams. Any answer would have done the trick, she just needed even one answer to all the questions she had been asking herself for the past month, and then some.
The following Monday after that weekend, it was just another day in her papa's old company office for Kimiko. There was just nothing else for her to do except read all of her documents, sign all her required signatures onto the signature boxes on the documents and finish up looking over her mountain of paperwork. For one reason or another, this had become both amusing and boring for the ex-dragon of fire. The former of amusing because she was really just doing something important for her papa's business, and the latter of such a task being boring because most of the documents she needed to read over did not really present anything of interest, not to her, anyway.
Everything just remained fairly normal for the remainder of that morning, but that was quickly ruined when there was a sudden crash through her office roof and the ceiling just narrowly missed falling onto her. Then as though things could not have gotten any worse, Jack Spicer, Wuya and Hannibal Bean came in through her ceiling. At first, Kimiko felt a slight wave of fear, completely aware of the fact that she was completely alone against all three of them, only had one shen gong wu on her person and could not contact her fellow xiaolin dragons to come to her aid. One thing remained in her mind, however, which made her just angry enough to forget she was ever afraid of them.
Kimiko Tohomiko: Repairing this roof is gonna cost me a fortune! I hope you're proud of yourselves!
Jack Spicer: Not yet, we're not. Who cares anyway how much repair your roof is gonna cost?
Kimiko Tohomiko: Jack, you idiot! I care how much this is gonna cost me! Why are you three even here, anyway?!
Wuya answered Kimiko's question with her own. The Heylin witch hag also pointed her finger towards the jewelry on Kimiko's neck in response.
