Chapter 10

LEXI POV

In second period I sit by my good but annoying friend, Ash. She never stops talking and she always copies off of me and I hate that. My teacher was giving a lesson and I was totally zoned out. Ash snapped me out of it and asked what happened. I told her I was just thinking but she had to be nosy, as always.
"Why do you need to know?" I said kind of rude.
" I don't know, I always want to know."
"That's called being nosy and it's not something to be proud of ."
She thought about saying something but she stopped and just went on with her notes. I don't like being rude but she just doesn't know when to stop. I never did my notes so I just grabbed Ash's journal since she said I could borrow it. I packed up and waited for the bell to ring. I never heard the bell ring but my teacher kept saying, " Bye. See you tomorrow."
And I was asking everyone if the bell rang and they said it did. I must have been really zoned out. Walking to 3rd period I bumped into Dylan. I was looking down at the ground while I was walking so I didn't know it was him.
"Hey, watch where you're-" He stopped talking as soon as he looked up and saw it was me.
"Sorry I wasn't looking up."
"No, it's ok it's my fault."
"Dude, don't say stuff that's not true." I said punching his arm and laughing.
"Ok. Ok. I'll see you later ok?"
"Aight." I said like a gangster.
I was laughing all the way to my class. Right when I walked in class Caroline and my other friend, Rose, immediately ran to me.
"We saw you bump into Dylan, what did he say?" Said Rose.
"Nothing, he just said sorry for bumping me." I said feeling really hot. I could feel myself getting redder and redder.
"You look sick." Caroline said sounding concerned.
"I don't feel so-" that what all I remembered before waking up in the nurses office. The nurse soon came in and told me I had fainted and I was going home. I didn't understand, what made me faint? She told me that a boy came in to see me. It was Dylan! The nurse told me I was out for a while and he stayed in there watching me. After all this time I thought I had no chance with him but, now I see that he cares about me.

DYLAN POV

When I saw Lexi on that bed, all I could was look at her beautiful face and hope she will be okay. Hopefully the nurse won't tell her I was there. I don't want Lexi to think I'm a creeper that just watched her sleep. I just couldn't bare with it if she ever got hurt. I'm glad that Caroline and Rose were there to catch her. She could've hit her head or something if they weren't there to catch her. I really like her, I just don't know if she'll like me back and if she doesn't, I would be heartbroken.
