She woke up, her eyes settling on the weird bed she faced making her panic for a moment. Memories of her becoming flashed back through her eyes which calmed her down, but a feeling of sadness and loneliness came with it.
Azure sat up and looked around her, ignoring the pang of pain in her heart at the thought of her family. With the sun providing enough light in the room, she can now see the proper setup of the house. It's a decent size, with a small kitchen near the backdoor and a dining table for two. The bathroom sat adjacent to the kitchen in a closed room and the bed sat at the other side. The window where Jessica stood the night before overlooks the pathway leading to the cabin well while the other window provides a great view of the creeping green lushly vines of the Treacherous forest outside.
Hunger pains made her aware that she has to eat, she rummaged through the cupboards in the kitchen and found a loaf of bread. There were some leaves for teas so she looked for the kettle and heated some water.
The house doesn't seem to be occupied by anyone, this area is known to take lives, so it does make sense. The number of items in the house made her wonder if Jessica knew all along this was gonna happen. The place is well kept, and the food storage tells that the place is prepared for someone.
Once the water was boiled, she prepared her tea and cut slices of bread. She sat down at the table and started thinking of what she could do now that she's alone. Her knowledge in the household is adequate, they were trained at a young age for that. She still has a lot of questions about her spiritual guide. Faes with that kind of power is known to hold a vast knowledge of the future, and they are extremely rare. Even more than her.
She sighed, remembering that Jessica mentioned a creek nearby. She has to explore this new place, otherwise, she wouldn't know where to go when she runs out of supplies. After finishing her breakfast, she cleaned up what she used and got out of the house. She needs to find supplies, things she can carry. She doesn't have anything of her at all and she will have to.
She walked out through the back door and used her aura to prod on her surroundings. She can feel the demons in the treacherous jungles, they were waiting for her. She ignored them and went on her way.
There wasn't any trail at all to her destination and she had to rely solely on her powers. She navigated her way through the trees, picking up branches of different sizes for her supplies. Some for her mantel, the thicker ones she can use as a harpoon for hunting after some work in shaping it.
She will need to hunt rare beasts as well if she wants to earn enough coins to buy some necessities. After a while, she decided to test her wings' strength and flew the rest of the way.
Almost an hour later, she still couldn't find the creek that Jessica mentioned, and as minutes ticked by, she grew more and more frustrated.
She flew down to the ground and folded her wings before slumping down on the grass near the tree. Her knees folded to her chest as she glared at the trail ahead of her.
Azure saw a bright glow flash in her peripheral vision, turning her attention towards that direction, she saw a pixie waving at her. Its tiny frame flew in her direction and stopped inches away from her.
From there, she finally saw the details of her face, her head and parts of her face covered in white soft feathers that trailed down to her back. Her feminine parts were also covered in the same feather and her wings remind her of a dragonfly. Her pointed ears seemed to almost resemble hers. She has claws, but her glow is the most wonderful thing she had ever laid eyes on.
"Hi Azure!" it greeted, surprising her.
"I can hear you!" Azure pointed at her, face full of surprise.
