A Jinxed Story 3: Ended

The fox crushed together his legs, grabbing Jinx. Then he jumped onto his front feet, with his back legs he hurled the small she-cat into a tree. She hit hard, knocking all the air from her lungs. She got up again, legs shaking. This can't go on any longer, Jinx thought. It'll kill me! 
 The fox almost smirked when Jinx was on her feet once more. She hopelessly wondered if Sky was close. She ran up to the fox and tried to claw his shoulders, but his muscles and fur work like a shield. He twisted his head and bit into Jinx's back leg and tossed her into a thorn bush nearby.
  The fox slowly stalked toward Jinx. His eyes seemed to mock her as he came closer...
  Suddenly there was a ear splitting crack and a huge oak branch fell on the gigantic fox. The fox struggled up, pulling the branch off him. Jinx'seyes widened. It didn't work! She winced as she tried to step back, but the fox's bite was still pouring blood. The fox pushed off the ground and toward Jinx. The white she-cat closed her eyes, waiting for the killing bite. She heard the snap of a bone, but felt no pain.
