Berrypaw looked up at Nightstar with such uncontrollable determination that when she looked back, Thundpaw and Brightpaw took a step back. Brightpaw accidentally knocked into Cinderfoot, stepping on his paw. He hissed and his icy cool eyes flashed at the young apprentice, obviously thinking about her as a rouge, Berrypaw thought. He looked back up at Nightstar, ears perked to listen, and Brightpaw looked at Thunderpaw in embarrassment. Thunderpaw shrugged knowing he was always like that.

Berrypaw focused back on her leader. Her yowl echoed in the camp as more Clanmates joined in. She dug her claws into the moist ground, now muddy with rain sweeping in the den, wanting action to start right then. She had to take on revenge. DawnClan had killed her mother because of wounds and her friend, Featherpaw in battle. DawnClan would not get away with it, not if she had anything to do about it. Berrypaw was satisfied that her leader was finally taking some action and now StormClan didn't have to live on knowing that they were weak because they wouldn't try to teach DawnClan a lesson by leaving them a scratch or two. StormClan is and always will be the strongest Clan. Maybe even all of the clans combined!

Berrypaw shook her head to clear her thoughts then went back to her ambition. She needed to get her claws on to a DawnClan cat. She was getting desperate, her teeth bearing at the thought of them going on to her territory. It was despicable! It was ruthless! Brightpaw must have seen the way Berrypaw was tensed because she pressed her pelt against Berrypaw's. Berrypaw flinched. This cat wanted to be her friend, and Berrypaw was going to fight along side her. She was going to go into battle.

Berrypaw dodged the trees and brambles then was right behind Firepelt's heels as Thunderpaw and Brightpaw followed blindly too. It was hard to avoid any pine trees since this was unknown territory, but for some odd reason, she felt as if she knew every bush and every puddle that made mud by the rain. She shivered as more lightning shone like a yellow claw followed by echoes of thunder.

The rain drenched on her thin tabby pelt and for once she envied Brightpaw's thick pelt. Berrypaw looked over her shoulder enough to see Brightpaw trying to catch up. Owlpaw and Foxpaw easy caught up to her and ran ahead, but Thunderpaw kept the same pace for Brightpaw, even though she was a very fast cat, faster than most warriors.

Berrypaw looked back and caught Icyclaw's eye. He growled "Faster because we need to get there before the sun rises." Berrypaw nodded then ran faster, the strength in her bones returning after wanting to sleep. She bumped into Rosethorn, a beautiful brown she cat with white splashes all over her, and looked around realizing they were so close to camp. The patrol didn't even keep quiet, and they just charged in like an angry pack of dogs, hungry for warriors that gave no respect to them.

"It's time!" Berrypaw thought with excitement and unsheathed her claws, watching the unsurprised DawnClan. "It's time to avenge the death of my family, my Clan, and for myself."
