Berrypaw looked up at her Clan leader. She couldn't believe her ears. Nightstar had made a rouge a member of StormClan! Rouges are never to be trusted, especially in Clans. Her protesting yowl rang around the camp and so did many others. "How do you know she can be trusted!?" "The scent she is carrying is not from a Clan I know!" "Nightstar, what are you doing!?" "You're going to lead StormClan down if you bring that rouge in our Clan!" Cats yowled their protests in an attempt to get the rouge out of camp. Nightstar held up her tail for silence and soon everyone grew quiet.
"I see most of you do not except my decision, but it is official. Brightpaw shall stay in StirmClan until she earns her place to StarClan." She said as she looked at the cats below. "And she will train, and be respected as any other cat in this clan. My decision is final." She looked at Brightpaw and motioned her head for Brightpaw to go back down. "The clan shall keep grieving over Sparrowcloud, Featherpaw, and Lizardclaw." Nightstar slowly padded to the dead cats. She had a deep bond with Sparrowcloud and Berrypaw knew it might have been something more than friendship. Even though Nightstar and Sparrowcloud weren't official mates, they acted like it. Berrypaw flexed her claws. "I will never moon over a tom in my life! There are things more important than love, right?" She thought to her self.
Brightpaw walked over to her. "Hi! I'm new here." She chirped. "I can see that, I'm not a mousebrain." Berrypaw retorted. Brightpaw's face turned into a frown. She seemed as if Berrypaw offended her. "Wow she is so easy to upset." She rolled her eyes. "Hi, I'm Berrypaw...." She narrowed her eyes at her. "Want to be friends?" Brightpaw asked. But before Berrypaw can give an excuse Lightningshadow came up to the apprentices.
"Brightpaw, I'm taking you put to see the camp and its territory." Lightningshadow looked at Riverleaf. "Want to come? Berrypaw can be able to be with Brightpaw." And when Riverleaf nodded they began to walk out of camp. They showed her the training hollow, and the apprentice den. Berrypaw mumbled along the way and Brightpaw seemed offended.
Riverleaf walked up to Berrypaw and spoke into her ear. "You better make friends with Brightpaw." She whispered. "But why?" Berrypaw asked "Because I ordered you to do it! Now do as I say and stop giving me excuses!" Riverleaf hissed in her ear. "Fine, fine, fine!" Berrypaw mumbled "I need some time. I don't need any friends.... Especially rouge friends..." Berrypaw said to her self.
