Brightpaw sighed and watched Thunderpaw pad to the border patrol. No, her sister was padding to the border patrol. "My sister..." Brightpaw closed her eyes and sighed. Finally she was able to ask where she came from, what her purpose was. Who was her family? Why was she abandoned at such a young age? And she would be able to do this with her sister by her side. Her sister! Brightpaw was having trouble processing this fully. She had a sister! She almost bounced in every step she took as she watched her own sister go to the patrol. Her heart swelled with joy, knowing now she wasn't alone. She could have someone to talk to about her feelings now, to cherish her memories with, to laugh along with. A real sister!

Brightpaw smiled as she continued watching Thunderpaw until she looked back and waved at Brightpaw with her tail, then disappearing through the bracken with Rosethorn and Firepelt by her side. Brightpaw looked back inside the medicine den. She suddenly now felt empty, bored, resisting the strong urge to pull away from this den and run after Thunderpaw. She seemed to have nothing to do, then resolved to the conclusion of naming off all the herbs inside the little cracks in the cave out loud. Suddenly- a broad gray head came into Brightpaw's peripheral vision, startling her, almost causing her to fall backwards in a sudden jolt. Almost. She whirled to face her soon to be victim for causing her such a fright, then calmed down her bristled fur as she noticed that it was only Cinderfoot, StormClan's medicine cat.

"Give ye' a fright now, didn't I? Well you sure know quite a lot of herbs for an apprentice." Cinderfoot meowed, smirking.

Brightpaw ducked her head. "I was definetely not scared," she mumbled, giving her chest fur a couple of licks. "Just cautious. Also I was just so used to being by myself that I learned a thing or two about herbs. That's all."

Cinderfoot shrugged then went to the back of the cave where the vines were growing up to the roof, and started organizing herbs, muttering things under his breath. Brightpaw was wondering what things went in that cat's brain, when she saw a small head pop out and a cat walk into the entrance of the cave, seeming to be carting a bundle of herbs.

"Oh, that's burdock root, isn't it?" Brightpaw smiled, tilting her head at the she-cat.

The brown she cat nodded, seeming to about to speak, the realized she had herbs in her mouth and put them down to speak. "Why, yes, it most certainly is! Why, you're a curious one, aren't you? I don't suppose you know about any other herbs do you? Maybe you might become the next medicine cat! That would be ace, wouldn't it?" The brown she cat smiled.

"Blimey, I'm just messing! The look on your face was worth it though! Well, I may as well introduce myself. I am Honeymist, the medicine cat apprentice!"

Brightpaw stared in curiosity at the young beautiful brown cat with green orbs, and smiled. "I'm Brightpaw, but obviously you know who I am."

"Of course I do! You're the new cat! Aye, forgive me but I'm bad at introductions. So sorry I haven't been able to do it when you came. Well welcome to StormClan anyways, young one." Honeymist cheered.

"Thank you!" Brightpaw responded giddily.

Honeymist went back to storing herbs with her mentor, Grayfoot, who was muttering to himself about herb remedies and other things Brightpaw hasn't ever heard of. Yet.

Brightpaw got up and stretched. "Well, uh, if you're done with me, I don't suppose you could let me off now?" She asked hopefully.

Cinderfoot looked up, as if surprised she was still there, then shook his head. "Let me check on you. If I decide you're fine, then you can leave since I do have other cats. You're not the center of this Clan you know." He rolled his eyes.
