The sun shone through the leaves from the bushes, hitting Berrypaw in the eyes, telling her to wake up. Berrypaw yawned and stretched. She opened her eyes and looked around. "Where... Where was am I?" Berrypaw peered outside the bushes then suddenly she remembered. She was near the Moonstone. Then another memory hit her. The battle.... Ponddripple falling over a cliff.... His kits coming out to wonder where their brave father was... And it was all Berrypaw's fault.... She got up bitterly and started walking towards the entrance of the Moonstone. Forgiveness was all she wanted from StarClan. Then she would go back to the Clan and... Berrypaw froze. The Clan! She sighed and shook her head miserably. They must be ashamed of her..

Should she go back? Will they accept her? Maybe it's okay if she says it was for StarClan. But would they care if she went in? Berrypaw didn't think apprentices were allowed inside the Moonstone unless they were asked to do so by the leader or if they were a medicine cat. Berrypaw shook her head in disgust. What was she doing, standing there and pondering? She was brave, not a soft, stupid kittypet.

Berrypaw leaped over a small creek and calmly walked towards the entrance. No need for any rush. DawnClan is just all bark and no bite, and they might be a bit too shocked after the battle, so she wasn't too worried about trespassing either. She smirked in satisfaction and padded into the mouth of the cave with no worries. She padded in cautiously and looked through the black void of nothingness. There were echoed that seemed to whisper inside Berrypaw's head as she walked in and she felt shivers go up her spine, though not from the cold, she thought. Once inside, she didn't even feel like this place was any magic at all.

"This isn't as cool as Honeymist and Cinderfoot says it is!" She thought.

The land was now turning narrower and the space started getting air tight as if this place was going to collapse on top of her. Finally she saw a dot of light that started getting bigger. She popped inside and gave a breath of relief that she was there at last. She quickly got up and shook her fur and coughed from all the dust.

Berrypaw looked up and gasped. It was a giant.... Rock? She growled. This was the moonstone? A stupid rock? What was she suppose to do with it? She hissed. This wasn't going to let her talk to StarClan! Berry paw growled and walked up to it. She put a paw on it and instantly felt ice cold claws slash through her. She put down her paw and curled her lip. Suddenly a dark shadow passed over her and she fell on the ground.

Berrypaw tried to get up but it was like all of gravity was pulling down on her. She felt like she was holding all the worlds weight, and if you ever felt that, it's not a good feeling. Berrypaw struggled to get up but it was too much. She blinked her eyes and just as she opened them, she gasped.  All around her was a forest in the night. She scrambled up on her paws and felt relief of the huge weight off her chest. Literally. Suddenly reality hit her. Was she in StarClan?  "Hello?" She called out as she started walking. Where was the StarClan cat that was going to come for her? She hissed in annoyance. They sure must be taking their sweet precious time. Berrypaw started walking when she started to hear more whispers. This was starting to annoy her and maybe... Frighten her...

Where was she?

"Hello, Berrypaw," a voice said.

Berrypaw whipped around her to face them and saw a thick coated tabby brown tom with a white under belly and unusually bright blue eyes. He must know her name because he is StarClan right? Berrypaw quickly bowed down, seeming like the right thing to do for a StarClan cat.

The cat chuckled, but seemed to enjoy the respect. "No need for that, young apprentice. I am Hawkfrost, and welcome to the Dark Forest." He said with a sly smirk. His eyes seemed to possess a mesmerizing gleam that seems like they could put you in a trance.
"What? The Dark Forest? I thought this was... StarClan.." Berrypaw said, trailing off as Hawkfrost hissed. Suddenly she heard a sharp yowl and screeches in the distance. Berrypaw's fur stood on end and she craned her neck in the direction. Hawkfrost sat down.  "Mind the noises. These cats are working hard to become the best warriors they can be for their clans." He said and looked at her from the corner of his eye. "You want to become the best warrior in your clan, don't you?" He asked, tilting his head. Berrypaw gasped. I can become the best warrior in my clan? "Of course I do!" She said, leaping to her feet.
