THE GREAT EIGHT DAYS

CHAPTER 3 - DAY 2

They kept walking ahead waiting for the sunrise and their second test. After crossing the plain land they were walking on a grassy land. It was a beautiful place. It was also safe till the sunrise. They were walking happily and the sun began to rise. "This is such a beautiful sunrise", said Pearl. "Yeah, But this won't look beautiful once the test will start", said Amber.

Ruby and Pearl giggled.

Soon it was dark. "Night in morning?", asked Amber.

"This is definitely a test", said Ruby.

It was getting darker and darker. Soon it started to look like night time. The fairies were alert. They kept looking here and there for the coming danger. They were not understanding anything at all. They could also see the stars in the sky. It was such a realistic night. Soon they saw the stars coming down very fast. They then saw that the star were turning into fire balls as they were coming down. The fairies were running here and there in order to save their lives. The stars that is the fire balls were not ready to stop at all. It was looking like a fire rain. Pearl was hurt by one of the fire balls on her hand. Her hand was paining. Yet Ruby told her not to stop at one place as it can cause more damage and pain. Then they saw a big thing coming among the stars. It was so big that running here and there would not help them saving their lives. They still kept running in one direction but that huge thing came on them. They were under that very heavy and huge blanket like thing. The fairies were not able to come out of it. Soon that blanket disappeared. The fairies were lying on the ground. They looked here and there but couldn't find the blanket. Because of the blanket they forgot about the fire balls falling on them. A fire ball hit Amber very deep. Ruby and Pearl shouted "Amber".

They then saw that nothing was happened to Amber and she was absolutely okay. Ruby then understood that the blanket came as a shield on them to protect them from the fire balls. They got happy. They got up and began to walk ignoring the fire balls as it was not going to be dangerous for them anymore. Suddenly it was morning again. After walking for a couple of minutes safely they heard a noise from the grass. It was a melodious tune. They were looking here and there in search of the root from where the music was actually coming. After sometime they found a little girl playing piano. She was hiding with the help of the long grasses. They went near her. She was looking very cute from behind. But as soon as they went near her, her eyes turned red. And she was attacking them with red rays of her eyes. The fairies begged her to stop. She was a very rebel girl. She was not ready to hear them. She kept attacking with her eyes and the fairies kept saving themselves.

"How dare you entered my house and who are you?", asked the little girl angrily.

"We are hear to reach the Dark world. We do not want to harm you and your house. Please let us go", said Pearl.

"Why do you want to go in the Dark world?", asked the girl.

"We want to kill the creature of the dark world", said Ruby.

"But why?", asked the little girl.

"Because he is always trying to hurt us and destroy our world", said Amber.

"Where do you live?" asked the girl.

"We live in the Precious world. We are daughters of King Silver and Queen Diamond", replied Ruby.

"Oh! Okay. You may continue your journey. But remember it is not easy to cross this grass world as you might think" said the little girl.

"Could you please tell us what dangers are we gonna face and how to cross them?", asked Pearl.

"Yeah sure. First of all you will meet snakes which are very poisonous. If their poison is somehow touched by you, there is no chance of you being alive anymore. And also they are eight in number. They are very thick and huge. It could be dangerous for you to survive in presence of them", said the girl.
