THE GREAT EIGHT DAYS

CHAPTER 4 - DAY 3

"I wonder how the danger level of the tests will keep increasing as we proceed", said Pearl.

"Don't worry, just stay strong", said Ruby.

They kept walking and soon they saw the sun rising from the west.

Now they entered a place where their was snow. It was a beautiful white place covered with snow everywhere. Their were little rocks which too were covered with snow. Their were huge mountains. Their were Christmas trees beautifully covered with snow. They kept walking in this beautiful place.

"What danger can arrive in such a beautiful place?", asked Amber.

"Of course this is very beautiful. But do not neglect the fact that we will have our third test", said Ruby.

"And also its severity of danger will be bigger than the first two", said Pearl.

They kept carrying their assumptions as they were walking ahead.

They heard someone howling. Then suddenly the voice kept on increasing. They could hear it coming near to them. The sisters got frightened. And soon they could see the hungry, wild wolves approaching them. They tried to run in all possible ways but the wolves did not leave any way for them. As they were coming from all the sides. The sisters were standing by sticking their backs to each other. The three of them were facing different directions.

"Why are they so many wolves and not just eight of them?", asked Amber.

"No answer for this", said Pearl lamenting.

The wolves were looking extremely dangerous. They had wide sharp teeth with dripping saliva and eyes red. The fairies were terrified. They didn't know where to go. It was a horrible situation. Although the wolves were not very big but they were in large number and so it made the fairies cry even more. The wolves began to growl near them very loudly.

"Why are you here?", asked one of the wolf in a very displeased tone.

"We are heading for the Dark world", said Ruby trembling.

The wolf further began to question them more and the fairies kept answering them.

"Whatever the cause is, nobody is allowed to enter the snow world except for its creatures and whoever does so gets killed", said one of the wolves.

"Please let us go. We don't want to harm you or your world. We are just here for our mission", said Amber.

"No, what we said is final", the wolves.

Sisters understood that these wolves are not kind at all and also they are super stubborn. They thought to somehow defeat them but they had no idea on to how they will do it. The wolf were howling and growling very loudly as they kept coming near the sisters. The sisters too began to shout very loudly. Then they noticed that the wolves stopped coming near them because of loud noise. They understood that the wolves didn't like this and it was also their weakness. To assure the sisters stopped shouting. Then the wolves again started coming. Again the sisters started shouting and screaming very loudly. They now had a secret weapon and were a bit relaxed. They had to keep moving ahead and so for that they kept walking in their direction and were also screaming so that the wolves do not surround them again. The wolves tried hard to go near them but it was hurting their ears and they were getting irritated by that. The fairies soon began to run as they were at some distance from the wolves to get rid of them. But as the wolves are good runners they kept running behind the sisters. Soon sisters saw a golden line stretched as a barrier between the two sides of the snow world. At first they hesitated but after that they crossed the golden barrier. They noticed that the wolves were not crossing the barrier and they thought maybe this is not their concerned place or whatsoever. They saw the wolves returning back sadly. They were happy after getting rid of the wolves. They kept going ahead and later found some aqua coloured thing lying on the ground randomly. It was sort of a gel. And it was known as freezing glands. They didn't know what to do about it and so they just kept collecting a bit of it in case they need it later. They later saw something shining behind the mountains.
