Chapter 6

Jungkook is now sitting on his new office trying to familiarize with the surrounding. He was being introduced to the board of directors and was introduced to the staff in his office floor.

His secretary was also being introduced and Jungkook didn't like her one bit but he can't voice it out so he just kept quiet about that matter.

He was told by Namjoon what to do and before he starts working he was familiarizing with his office. He also has to pick Hani during the lunch break.

He was startled when his phone rang and looked to see it was group call by Yugyeom and Eunwoo.

Jungkook answered the call and other two immediately start to congratulate Jungkook.

'That's enough and thank you. It's not fancy like you expect it to be. I will only become busy.' Jungkook said.

'You have to treat us for dinner in a fancy restaurant. We're not letting you off the hook Mr.Jeon' Yugyeom said and Jungkook showed his fist through the camera.

'That's right Yugy. Kook you have to treat us. I treated you when I received my first salary so you also have to.' Eunwoo said.

'Remember we made a promise that we will celebrate for every achievement we make in this life. So better live up to your promise.' Yugyeom said.

'Alright... alright... stop fussing I will treat you guys on Friday.' Jungkook said.

'No you have to do it today?' Yugyeom insisted and Jungkook sighed.

'All you think about is food, well I also want to get it over today but I have to take care of Hani. She is only comfortable with me no one else.' Jungkook said.

'You're like Hani's father. If we don't know better we will assume you're her dad.' Yugyeom said.

'Whatever.... Eventhough I'm not her biological dad and only her uncle I still consider her as my daughter.' Jungkook said 'I have to work. Dad let me off the hook since it's my first day but can't assure that he will let off again. He is serious when it comes to work.' Jungkook said.

'Alright dude... good luck on your first day of work. We want to hear if there are any interesting incidents at work.' Eunwoo said and waved his hand and Jungkook shook his head.

'Go back to your work.' Jungkook said and ended the call. And he looked at files in his table and sighed and started working.

'Uncle Kookie...' Hani screamed and jumped on Jungkook.

'Hey princess... How are you? And how was school?' Jungkook asked peppering kisses all over the little girls face.

'It was fun. Put me down... put me down...' Hani said and once Jungkook placed her down she ran towards Soyoung. Jungkook smiled and waved to her.

'Hey Soyoung... how are you?' Jungkook asked.

'I'm fine thank you uncle.' Soyoung said and bowed which made Jungkook to smile.

'Are you waiting for your mom?' Jungkook asked.

'No uncle... I don't have a mom. I'm waiting for grandma.' Soyoung said and Jungkook's smile fell.

'Oh baby... I'm sorry... I didn't know about that.' Jungkook said and hugged the little girl. 'I will wait with you until grandma comes ok...' Jungkook said and walked her and Hani to a bench and opened a pack of fruits that Jungkook prepared for Hani.

'Here have this until your grandma comes.' Jungkook said and fed both of them fruits.

Taehyung came and didn't find Soyoung in the usual place and asked her teacher about Soyoung's whereabouts.

'Oh... Soyoung was with Hani. Go to the playground and you will find her.' Soyoung's teacher said and Taehyung thanked her and ran to the playground and found Soyoung with Jungkook and Hani. Taehyung smiled when he saw Jungkook feeding Soyoung carefully and talking with her.

He approached them and Soyoung ran towards him.

'Dada I didn't know you will come to pick me up.' Soyoung said and Taehyung kissed her cheeks.

'Dada was free so I thought I will pick up my pretty girl.' Taehyung said.

'Thanks for taking care of her Jungkook.' Taehyung said.

'Its fine hyung... actually I should be sorry.' Jungkook said. 'Hani go and play with Soyoung, uncle Kookie needs to speak with uncle Taehyung.' Jungkook said and Hani hold out her hand for Soyoung and the two went to play.

'What are you sorry about?' Taehyung asked.

'I honestly didn't know Soyoung doesn't have a mother and actually asked about her mother. I'm really sorry hyung.' Jungkook said and bowed his head.

'It's fine Jungkook. She is aware about her mother.' Taehyung said.

'If you don't mind me asking, what happened to her mother?' Jungkook asked and felt stupid for prying into other people business.

'She left us. Actually she was not my lover or anything. But we just messed around with each other. She never wanted to have the baby and wanted to abort but I stopped her. Once she gave birth she left the child. If she consider staying I wouldn't have mind marrying her though I had no feelings but for the sake of Soyoung. But she never had the intention and I don't mind raising Soyoung alone. I love my daughter.' Taehyung said and looked at Jungkook who was smiling.

'Why are you smiling?' Taehyung asked Jungkook and Jungkook shook his head.

'It's nothing... you're cool for taking care of Soyoung by yourself. I know that taking care of a child is not easy. I basically raised Hani that's why she is attached to me.' Jungkook said.

'Ah... I understand... but won't your girlfriend ever complain.' Taehyung asked and Jungkook laughed. 'Why are you laughing?'

'It's nothing hyung. I'm not in any kind of relationship. And I know I probably sound shameless but I want to ask you for a date. Will you go on a date with me?' Jungkook asked hopefully and Taehyung was honestly dumbfounded.

'A date?' Taehyung asked just to make sure he heard it right and Jungkook nodded his head.

Taehyung pursed his lips to stop himself from smiling like an idiot and looked at Jungkook who was now looking down probably afraid that Taehyung will say no.

'Ok... we will go but let me take care of it... on this Saturday.' Taehyung said and Jungkook immediately looked up and smiled.

'Oh... ok... you can decide and I will follow your lead.' Jungkook said.

'Let's go to some ice cream for now shall we?' Taehyung asked and Jungkook nodded his head.

'There is this tasty ice cream shop right across the street. Let's go there since we came in separate vehicles.' Taehyung suggested and Jungkook called for Hani and Soyoung to come.

'Hani... Soyoung... would you like to go to some ice cream?' Jungkook asked and the two little girls jumped due to excitement.
