Chuck-e cheeses

Our business had been going great!
We were always busy, and I was gradually earning my money for college. I had to admit, I loved this job. I got to wear a bear costume all day and play with kids. We were all anyone with kids would talk about. I even saw some of my friends with younger siblings at out restaurant. I never said hello, because I didn't want them to judge me.
This was a great summer job, and I actually enjoyed it.
And my dad was making bank. I mean we got to fix up our car and he even put down some money on my college funds. Everything was amazing

Then it happened.
"CHUCK E. CHEESES, a great family fun restaurant with new Animatronics!" My dad read from the news paper. "Animatronics?"
"Yeah there like robots in costumes that sing." My dad replied. He seemed stressed. "Don't worry dad, who would be interested in those? And besides, I can interact with the kids, can some stupid robot do that?" My dad gave me a fake smile and brushed the sweat away from his forehead with his hand.

Every week we got less and less business. I was wrong, kids did love these stupid animatronics. I was so mad. Not only because this was my main source of college money, but because it was slowly tearing my dad apart. He barely spoke to me unless I spoke first, and he didn't make dinner anymore, which kinda made me stress out too. "Julie come here please" my dad said in a nervous voice. "I walked down stairs and sat down at the table to see my dad with a concerned look on his face. "Julie, you know how business had been down" he paused and took a breath. " it think we need to shut down the diner" he looked up at me. I could tell he wasn't going to expect me to care, but I did, and I was mad about it. I got up and started to walk upstairs when I turned around and waited to see if my dad had anything to say. But he didn't. My dad went to bed without a word. I walked up to my bedroom and plopped onto my bed. We couldn't loose the business. I couldn't let that happen. I fell asleep thinking about ways I could help the business. The next morning my dad said that we weren't gonna open the diner. He called all the workers and told them not to show up. "I would look for another job, with business not going so well and all" I heard him say over the phone. After he called everyone he went up to his bedroom and didn't come out. "Dad?" I yelled. I needed to get out of the house, "dad I'm going out see you later." I went outside and started to walk to the diner. It was a long walk, but it was nice. When I was walking o the diner I passed by Chuck E. Cheeses. I walked in to see what all the buzz was about. I had to admit, animatronics were kinda cool. Then it hit me. What if I could get animatronics for the diner. But, where would I get the money? I Pushed that idea aside and left to go to the diner. When I got there I saw a man standing by the door. "Excuse me sir we're clo-" the man turned around, it was James. "Oh, hey Julie" he seemed surprised to see me, almost as surprised I was to see him. "What are you doing here?" I asked "my dad said not to come into work today" he grabbed my hand and looked me in the eyes. "I want to show you something" he seamed super excited. I had never seen him that much, but when I did he always seemed a bit grumpy. I nodded my head and looked around to see if anyone was following us as he lead me to his car. "Get in" he said. "Um" i didn't know if I trusted him or not. I hesitated and stepped away. "I'm not gonna kill you now come on!" I slowly reached for the door and got in. He drove us to a large abandoned building. "Here we are" I was confused but then he lead me inside. It was very dark, but then he turned on the light. He had blueprints, machinery, spare parts, tools, and all kinds of mechanical things. He lead me over to a tall thing covered by a sheet. "This," he smiled "this is what I wanted to show you" he pulled of the reveal a large golden bear. But not just a normal plush bear. It was an animatronic.
