Mr fredbear

I stood there for a whole moment in shock. "How, just how?" He smiled. "I'm still working out some of the bugs, but when it's done...we'll be just as popular as we were when the restaurant first opened up!" He walked over and grabbed some tools and started working on the animatronic. "How did you build this?" I walked up and brushed my hand against the metal of the large bear. "I went to college in engineering and technology" he paused and motioned for me to hand him a screwdriver sitting next to me. "If your so smart, then why don't you have a better job? I mean you could be working for nasa or something!" "I'm not that smart, and I had failed the final test, and I kinda never retook the test...so I never got a college degree." "Yah, but why did you get a job as a security guard at a restaurant...?"
"It was a side job to earn money, but I guess I never got another main job, and to be honest I really like this job"
"How did you afford to make this?"
"I know people." He got up and flipped a switch, and when nothing happened he went back to working on the animatronic.
"How are we gonna afford this?" I said sitting down in a chair.
"What do you mean?" He looked up at me.
"Well we can't just take this from you, these things cost a fortune!"
"Don't worry about it, I told you I know people, I practically got this for free."
" Well I still I can't just take this, maybe you and my dad can work something out for payment, I mean you did make it..."
"It's fi-"
"We're gonna pay you and your gonna like it!" I looked him in the eyes and gave him a fake smile.
"Wow you sure are intimidating. Fine I'll talk to your dad, but seriously it's fine."
He sat there fixing it for about an hour. We talked about our likes and dislikes and got to know each other. I even told him about how my mom died, and a bunch of other person stuff. He told me about his family and what he does when he's not at work.

"Well should we see if it works?"
He stood up and flipped a switch in the back of the neck it made a few clanking noises. Then it's eyelids shot open and the eyes were flowing white. It started to move its head and arms and eyes around. "Nice" I said amazed. The it started to talk. "Hello there everybody! I'm Fredbear! Let's stop wasting time! Let the show begin!" Then he started singing fun songs. Halfway through the his song James started taking to me. "I programmed him to have a kid friendly voice," I nodded focussed on the Bears singing. I could tell it was a robot, but I had to admit it did sound pretty good. It had a sort of southern accent. " I also programed him to have 20 different songs, and he sings them at random." Then the bear finally stopped singing, but it didn't shut off. "How does it turn off" I looked at James confused. "Wait for it" he replied smiling. I looked at the bear very confused and waited. Then it started to walk. "Wha- how?" He walked around all the obstacles and came to me and James "hey kids" the bear said "are you having a fun time?" James handed the animatronic and plate. "Table two he said" the bear took the plate and wakes over to a desk in the corner and set the plate down. "Enjoy your food!" The bear said waving and walked around the room. James handed me a remote. "If you click this it calls him to come pick up and order." He pointed to a white button. "And this commands him to go back to the performance area. And this turns him off, without using the manual switch." "How did you not pass that test?" I said examining the remote. "I didn't study, and I never took notes."
"Then how did you know how to build this?"
"I guess I've always been good with technology and robotics"
I looked at the remote. "What does this button do?" "That takes Freddy here off of free roaming mode. But if you keep him off it for to long he'll rust up."
I nodded and clicked the off button on the remote and handed it back to James. "What made you decide to make it walk around?"
"Well he was based of one of my earlier projects from college. We had to make a robot that could move... And I just modified that design so it was bigger, and so it could sing." He smiled at me and looked back to the bear. "And plus if we just had a regular old animatronic, we'd be no different than that lame Chuck-E cheeses."
I looked out the window. It was really dark.
"Crap!" I said running my hands through my hair. "I hope my dad isn't worried about me!"
"Don't worry I'll drive you home, and besides I bet he won't be mad once he find out about this."
He started to pack up his things and clean up a bit. It went silent for a while.
"Thank you," I said looking him straight in the eyes. "This really means a lot to me, with out you we would have lost the restaurant,"
"No prob Bob," James said rubbing his hand on my back.
He lead me out to his car and drove me home. I was so tired, and it felt like the ride took forever.

JAMES POV
After showing Julie the animatronic we headed back to her house. I had to admit I had a great time. I got to really know Julie. All the time I had known her, we had never really spoken until tonight. I sorta had the thought she didn't like me. She was a really nice girl, she cared a lot about her dad and her restaurant. And she was so beautiful. I never really thought about it, but when she looked me in the eyes I had to stop myself from staring at her. She was a very beautiful girl, she had long blond hair, deep blue eyes, and freckles all across Her checks and nose. I was actually surprised she didn't have a boyfriend. Or did she? I didn't really know, she hadn't mentioned one, so I assumed she wasn't In a relationship.

On the ride home I could tell she was super tired. My car wasn't exactly the most comfortable place on the earth. I let her lay her head down on my lap. After about five minutes she stopped taking to me and I knew she had fallen asleep. I realized I don't know where she lived, so I drove us into town and woke her up. She led me to her house. When we got there she said thank you again And smiled. She kissed me on the cheek "see you at work tomorrow"
"See ya," I waved at her and waited for her to get into her house. I started driving back to my apartment. Then i saw a bracelet sitting on my seat. "Must be Julie's" I said to myself. I put it in my glovebox so I could give it tomorrow.
The ride back seemed longer than usual, she lived kinda far from my place. As soon as I got home I went straight to my bed and passed out.
