"dream wake up!" george said with slight panic in his voice.

dream shot up quick, surprised by the aggressive shake george gave him, "what's wrong? are you okay?"

"it's 11:30! we slept for like 6 hours! my mom's gonna kill me!" george said.

dream pulled george a little closer and brushed his hair with his fingers to try and calm him down, "hey it's okay, just tell your mom you're own your way right now."

george nodded and called his mom, "mom! i'm sorry i accidentally fell asleep at clay's house. i'm on my way right now."

surprisingly, his mom wasn't mad. "oh honey it's okay. i figured you were at his house and thought you were sleeping over?"

he looked over at dream, "i don't mind you sleeping over."

george gave him a soft smile, "oh yeah i guess i'll sleep over. sorry i was just worried you were going to be mad at me."

george's mom laughed, "of course i'm not mad, sweetie. just make sure you're on time for school tomorrow!"

"yes mom, i will. bye, love you!" he said.

he threw his phone to side of him and laid back down, sighing.

"what's wrong?" dream asked.

george just shrugged, "just tired. can i borrow some clothes? i feel uncomfortable in my jeans."

dream nodded and went over to his closet to get some things for him to wear. he brought out a hoodie with a smile on it and some comfy plaid pj pants that were a little too small for him, but would most likely be a good size for george.

george thanked dream and went to the bathroom to change. he pulled the hoodie over and realized just how big it was on it. he was practically swimming in it. he also couldn't ignore how much it smelt like dream.

i wanna keep this. he thought.

he put the plaid pants on and came out of the bathroom.

dream was fixing his bed, "were you still sleepy or were you gonna stay up-"

dream turned and noticed how big his hoodie was on george. he thought he looked adorable and couldn't help but get red at the cute sight in front of him.

thankfully, george didn't notice. "i'm kinda sleepy but not really so i'm probably gonna stay up for a bit."

dream nodded and climbed in bed. he faced the ceiling and put his hands on the back of head.

george walked to the other side of dream's bed and plopped on the bed, resting on his side.

"let's play 20 questions!" dream said, "i'm sure we'll tire ourselves by the end."

"are we 12, dream?" george said, rolling his eyes.

"oh come on, it's funnnn," dream said, "what if i don't know everything about one of best friends?"

george finally agreed, "okay okay, you can go first."

dream thought about a question for a sec, "mmm what's your worst fear?"

"oh umm," george thought about it for a bit. what was his worst fear? "being alone forever."

dream turned to him, "i won't let that happen, you know."

"what?" george said. dream's response caught him by surprise.

"i said i won't let that happen. i promise i'll always be here, george. i won't leave your side." he promised.

george blushed but then rolled his eyes, "yeah sure, dream. everyone leaves some day."

he fixed his position and was now staring at the ceiling.

they sat there in silence for a second until dream spoke up. "i'm not everyone then. i promise."

he felt george's hand close to him and grabbed his left pinky with his right pinky and crossed them, making a promise.

both were now red in the face but couldn't tell.

"t-thank you dream. i promise i won't leave your side either."

dream smiled and closed his eyes.

"let's get some sleep, yeah? it's already getting really late," dream said, "i'll wake up earlier to get ready and then i'll wake you up so i can take you to your house to get ready, okay?"

george nodded and repositioned himself to sleep on his side and closed his eyes, trying to let his sleepiness take over.

dream copied george's position and admired the boy sleeping in front of him for a second before doing the same.

george was already half asleep but needed something to hug, so he scooted closer to dream and put his arms around him, cuddling the bigger boy.

dream was half asleep too and cuddled george back as a reflex.

the two fell asleep in each other's arm as they did before.
