Trust

(RACHEL'S POV)

I open my eyes to see an unfamiliar ceiling and remember what happened last night.

I try to sit up but I get pulled back into the sheets by a weight around my waist and realize that Riki's arm is around me.

Rachel: ....Riki...he's sweating so much...

I think he's having a nightmare...I try to call his name and wake him up but all he does is continue to sleep so I try again.

Rachel: Riki...

Rachel: RIKI!!!! WAKE UP!!

(RIKI'S POV)

(A/N: I don't actually remember much of Riki's route so I'm making it up. It IS a fanfic after all...OK! Back to the story)

*Dream*

I find myself in an all too familiar place...And I see my mom again...

Mom: go Riki! Hurry! Run!

Riki: no! Mom! Don't leave me!

I was in a dark building...all I can see is red. Red everywhere...the stains of blood all over my hands,and my mother...lying on the ground wounded...

Mom: GO RIKI! Before they catch you...!

Riki: I'm not leaving without you! Not again! I can't lose you again! Come with me!

Mom: I can't-

My mother starts to lose her sanity... And she starts to grab my leg. Her eyes are bloodshot and her once pure as white dress is now torn and stained red as blood.

Riki: mom...?!

Mom: you left me....it's all your fault! You killed me!

Riki: no....mom!

Her shadow draws over both of us and it's slowly consuming me and I hear her voice call me as if she's right Next to me.

Mom: ...Riki....

All I see is darkness....I'm floating on nothing....and darkness is surrounding me.

Mom: Riki...!

Riki: (is this it...? Am...am I dead?)

I hear a voice...but it's not my mothers...

???:Riki...!

Riki: (is that an angel...?)

???: RIKI!!!! WAKE UP!!

*end of dream*

I wake up and see Rachel looking at me concerned.

Riki: Rachel...?

(RACHEL'S POV)

I call Riki and he wakes up. I look down at him with concern...

Riki: Rachel...?

Rachel: Riki....are you alright...? You were sweating so much and you looked like you were having a nightmare...

Riki: ...

Riki doesn't say anything,but just sits there looking deep in thought...

Rachel: (He looks the same as what I look like when I just wake up from a nightmare...)

I don't say anything more but just lean over and hug him gently....He looked like he really needed it...

(RIKI'S POV)

Rachel started hugging me...at first I'm taken aback...

Riki: (thank you...I need this...)

I hug her back tightly and feel like crying.

I haven't told anyone my back story except for the guys...maybe...maybe Rachel's an exception? Can I finally trust someone again? As I think this I hear Rachel start to cry...

Riki: (...Why is she crying...?)

(RACHEL'S POV)

I feel like I can just feel all the pain he's going through just from just this hug...he's hugging me tightly but not too tight that he's hurting me...more like a hug that he needs someone to look after him...someone he can lean on...

Rachel: (can I be that person Riki? Please? Please trust me...I trust you...)

As I'm hugging Riki I feel all the pain that I've been through all come back to me...and I start to cry....I don't know why...but I just feel like he'll understand what I've been feeling...

Rachel: I trust you...

I whisper softly through my long soft sobs. And I hear him say it back...

Riki: I trust you too...

After that I continue to cry into his white shirt and stain it with the tears of my burdens I've kept with me for so many years and I watch them all disappear...
