“He's Here!”
Her hijab flew behind her as she pace over the closed room door as from her huge walk-in closet she dashed with more than average speed, her handheld her loose hijab as the smile was nowhere near leaving her lips.
The glint in her eyes sparks like the brightest star in the darkest night, the footsteps against the floor with clap sounds made it evident that her steps are taking to the point of life she actually never wished for yet was grateful.
It felt surreal and ever so slow, just how it appears in movies.
Until.
The little toe of her right foot accidentally made contact with the edge coffee table in her room, the thunder jolt bottled up making her gruntingly drop herself on her sofa by there as she clutched her little toe and closed her eyes suppressing her annoying pain.
The piece of furniture wasn't only the thing which hit her as a sense called Deja Vu played its card, to make it sure she looked sideways not to find her brother laughing but her sister-in-law concentratedly occupied in her eye make-up.
“Zawal, Are you okay? Do you want me to check up on the door?”
“Zaira Bhabhi, This hurt more than a heartbre–”
As on cue, there was another knock on the door distracting the stingy pain in Zawal's little toe while Zaira confusingly and concerned stared back and forth between Zawal and the door through the mirror as she spoke—
“It must be your outfit.”
“It Has To Be! Because It's My Freaking Wedding Today! Aand! I STILL DON'T HAVE MY OUTFIT PLUS THE NIKKAH IS EXACTLY IN A HOUR–”
“Does my eyeliner looks finer and perfect or Do I need it to wing it more?
"Told you not apply a thick lay-" The knock again interrupted Zawal's sentence, who finally looked at the door with heart eyes as if her only 'Love' was on the other side of the door.
Zaira resumed with her eyeliner, leaving Zawal to meet the moment she was waiting for. She held the door handle after unlocking it, taking a deep breath to compose her excitement and giddy self.
Zawal grinned widely to herself when she thought how long she waited for this.
The door flew open, which made him glance up from the phone held in his left hand and a package in his other.
Her widened amber glinted green eyes met as well his smokey grey, which was squinted due to his widest full-blown grin.
She yet again lost herself in his charms, her beauty of his face was nowhere near to the reflection of the beauty of his thumping heart.
The memories of their first meeting danced against their mind while fate was twirling before their eyes with hearts swaying for each other.
“A $Heart, Ma'am.”
“What! I already did the payment.”
“❛I'll be going to charge you extra if you gawk me like that on my wedding day.❜
