Cheif Verena was talking with General Attytia about expanding Fang. "Maybe we should get Nammari's opinion on this. "Attytia said. Verena looked at her saddened, "I don't know, you know how she's been for the past 6 years. " She said. Meanwhile... Nammari was sitting outside, where she normally was, in the garden of Fang. Instead of being commanding, she had softened and saddened. Nammari cried herself to sleep every night, thinking about what she did to the world, to Raya. Nammari knew that if Raya was stone, she would never forgive herself. Cheif Verena went to her daughter. Cheif Verena had no idea how to make her feel better. She had tried almost every thing she could think of. And yet, she was still distant from everyone. The people of Fang worried about the princess as well. They hadn't heard from her in years, many people speculated she had turned to stone. If only I was stone. Nammari thought Verena came to her daughter's side, "hey morning mist. Are you feeling alright?" The chief asked looking concerned and putting her hand on Nammari's back. Nammari then broke into tears. "I hurt, everyone. " Nammari said . Verena knew what to do, she had burst like this many times before. Verena hugged her and massaged her shoulder, "shh, it's okay, it wasn't your fault. " Verena said. Verena however, knew who broke the world, and Nammari. Her, she had felt so guilty whenever Nammari broke down like this. Because it was Verena's fault for breaking the world, and Nammari was taking the blame. Nammari has had night terrors, breakdowns, evrey day for 6 years. Nammari had never recovered from that night. "Morning Mist, it's okay." Verena whispered as she massaged Nammari's back. "I'm a murderer, I'm a monster, I'm nothing. " Nammari said still hugging her mom. Verena has heard her daughter say this about herself before. "Nammari, no, that is not true. " Verena reassured. But it was in vain. Nammari jolted up, "WHO STARTED THIS!!! WHO KILLED ALL OF THESE PEOPLE!!? ME!!! SHE'S DEAD, BECAUSE OF ME!!!" Nammari screamed and ran away to the palace. Verena looked in a questioning way at her daughter. Who's, she? Verena wondered. Nammari ran back to her room. She slammed the door behind her. Verena was still sitting on the bench. Attytia came to her. Verena looked extremely upset, "I don't know what to do anymore. " The chief said as she put her head into her hands and cried. "What if she's going to hurt herself, I.. I just... She's my daughter, I did this to her. I just want to see her alive again. " Attytia put her hand on Verena. "I, can't make you feel better, but all I can say, is that I will be here for you." She said. Verena smiled at her, "thank you. " Meanwhile- Nammari was slamming everything in her room, smashing glass, punching herself in the head, and crying in desperation. Desperate for an escape, an escape from the guilt, an escape from everything. Nammari then collapsed into a ball in the corner of her room and sobbed into her knees,, "dep la, I can't live with this anymore. " Nammari said as she got up and went to the drawer. Meanwhile- Verena was walking to Nammari's room to make sure Nammari was okay. But she wasn't prepared for what she was about to see. Verena opened Nammari's door and saw her daughter on the ground with a fresh stab wound. Verena gasped, "Morning mist, no!!!" She cried as she put pressure on her wound. "Nammari, why would you do this?" Verena cried trying to stop Nammari's wound from bleeding out. "This... is... what I.. deserve. " Nammari said weakly. "No, stop saying that, please don't go. " Verena said as she was crying. The Fang healers rushed into the room and picked her up and rushed her to the hospital. Verena didn't see what happened, but she knew well, her wound was self inflicted. Meanwhile- "No, no that's not a flow, that's a clog." Raya said listening to Boun's insensible plan to infiltrate Fang and get their dragon gem peice. "Okay, here's my plan." Sisu said smirking. But before she could say what it was, she felt a dark void over Fang. Something terrible happened. "Raya, " Sisu said. "Yeah, " Raya awnserd. "I need to show you something. " Sisu said urgently as she grabbed Raya and ran on the rain. "Sisu what are you doing?" Raya asked as Sisu ran to Fang. "Umm, Sisu, I don't think.." Raya started to say, "trust me, you need to see this. " Sisu said as she went to Nammari's bedrooms window. "Sisu, we shouldn't be here!" Raya whispered. "See that book," Sisu said pointing to a brown book. Raya looked at it, confused as to why Sisu would want to show her a book. "Yeah, I see one." Raya said still confused. "Read it." Sisu said not changing her expression. "Okay, if you say so." Raya said as she went to the book. She opened it, "Nammari's diary?" Raya asked Sisu with a questioning look. Sisu stared at Raya, she wanted her to read it. Raya read for a while, until she found an entry that caughther off guard. "Today, we are going to Heart to meet the other lands, I can't wait." Raya cried when she reads that, she knew what was about to happen. But what she saw next, she wasn't prepared for. "I don't know what happened, I was having a great time with my best friend, and now, I just, I don't know what to write, I'm just praying she's okay, OH GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE!!!!!!" It read. Raya kept reading, and evrey entry broke her heart. All it was was self deprivation, the things she says about herself, "I'm heartless, I'm a murderer, is that all I ever will be?" Was one of the entries that got to her, looking at the date, Nammari seemed 12 when she wrote it."It's Christmas, I'm a little happier today, but Raya comes back, she won't have a Christmas, because of me." "Mom says I scream in my sleep, it's been 4 years, I should've let go, but I can't. WHY AREN'T I STONE!!!" "Day, God I don't even know anymore of therapy. All I see is that night when I close my eyes. All I see is her face. " "I tried to hurt myself again but I failed, I just want an escape, if I kill myself, good,, it's what I f****** deserve. "Raya's tears fell like waterfalls, she had no idea how much Nammari cared. Raya always thought Nammari was indifferent about what happened to her. But if this was true, Nammari cared far too much. "I can't read anymore, " Raya said, "it's too much." Sisu hugged Raya, "Raya, I know how much this hurts, but you need to. You need to understand what Nammari's gone through, it's the only way you can trust her." Sisu said, rubbing Raya's back. "I can't Sisu, I can't see what she did to herself. " Raya cried. And she was telling the truth, nothing in that book could possibly have anything hopeful. Raya ended up gaining the confidence to go back. Raya then read the final entry, "Raya, if you're somehow reading this, please know I am so sorry. I can't live with what I did to you anymore. You were just looking for a friend, and my stupid ass betrayed you. If I can be honest, all I feel anymore is guilt, I have felt nothing for 6 years, nothing other than terrible and self hate. I promise, I will never betray your trust again. I love you. "
Raya collapsed on her knees. Sisu ran over to Raya and hugged her again. Raya could feel everything Nammari felt. Pain, guilt, loneliness, sadness, regret, grief. The fact that someone could live with these feelings for 6 years scared her. "Sisu, I need to talk to her. " Raya said. "Okay, " Sisu said, "Let's try and find her. " Meanwhile... Verena was looking at her wounded daughter. Nammari was in a hospital bed, on a ventilator. Verena looked in sadness, her daughter tried to kill herself, and who knows if this was the first time she tried this. "Cheif, we have a guest room ready for you." The doctor said. "Vistor hours are up." Verena looked at him, "no, I'm not leaving her." She said. "Look, you both need a good night's rest. " He responded. Verena wanted to protest, but he was right, they both need rest. "Okay, good night Morning Mist, " Verena said walking toward her, "I love you, so much." Verena walked out of the room, taking one last look at her daughter, "I'm so sorry. " She said as she walked out. Raya snuck into Nammari's room. Raya had no idea what to expect. But what she saw broke her heart, Nammari was clining to life. Raya looked at her, she had no idea what guilt can truly do. Raya went to her side when Nammari awoke. Nammari looked at Raya and gasped, "hey dep la." Raya said smiling. Raya saw a tear come from Nammari's face. "Hey it's okay dep la, I'm here. " Raya said putting her hand on Nammari's face. But Raya's touch destroyed her emotional wall, and Nammari started to cry. Sobs raked through her body. "Dep la, hey, shhhhh, it's okay, I know everything." Raya said as she massaged her shoulders. Nammari wanted to say something, so she took the ventilator off, "I'm. So. sorry. I. Love. You." Nammari said extremely weakly. "Nammari, I, love you to." Raya said. She hugged Nammari tightly and Nammari rested her head in Raya's shoulder. "How.did.you.know." Nammari said. "I may or may not have seen your diary. " Raya said laughing, still holding Nammari in her arms. "It's. A.daily.log." Nammari said smirking, for the first time in 6 years. "Same thing Dep la." Raya said laughing. "Is. Not." Nammari said trying to laugh. Raya was laughing as she held Nammari in her arms. "I'm so sorry. " Nammari said. "Dep la, I know, I forgive you. " Nammari then pulled back and looked into Raya's eyes. "I love you, truly. " Nammari said weakly. Raya got into the bed with Nammari and laid down next to her. Raya kissed Nammari softly. "I love you to Nammari. " Raya said. Nammari then smiled and rested in Raya's embrace.
Sisu looked at the girls through the window and smiled. She could see the love these two shared, and it was incredible.
After RATLD- Raya was sleeping in her room. For the first time in years she felt at peace. But then she was awoken by footsteps. Raya opened her eyes and saw Nammari, there were tear streaks on her face. "Another nightmare?" Raya asked. Nammari nodded, this wasn't the first time this happened, and Raya knew what to do. Raya got up and went to her. Raya hugged her with all her might. "Follow me." Raya said as she walked to the bed, Nammari followed. Everything was back to normal, but Nammari still had the horrible memories, but being with Raya, all of those memories, worries, just melted away. As Nammari laid down, Raya hugged Nammari. "I love you," Raya said, "nothing will change that." Nammari smiled in her embrace. She snuggled close to Raya, "I love you to, and I'm sorry for being a burden. " Nammari said falling asleep. Raya knew Nammari still blamed herself for everything, but Raya was bound and determined to make sure her guilt was cured, and she will continue to remind Nammari that she was forgiven, and she was far from a burden.
