"Whoa, your mom actually said that, awkward. " Raya said while laughing. Nammari laughed as well, this was the best Nammari felt in years. Being with her new friend filled her soul with so much joy. "OK " Raya said, "hand to hand, or swords?" Is this even a question. Nammari thought, "blades all day." Nammari awnserd. "Okay, dressy, or casual. " Nammari asked. "Only a monster would choose to wear this on the regular. " Raya said while adjusting herself. Nammari felt great talking with her new friend. But she started to feel something in her soul. This girl was beautiful. And she wanted to be her friend, for life. "Here," Nammari said as she handed Raya her dragon pendant. "From one dragon nerd, to another. " She said. "Woah, really " Raya asked smiling. Nammari nodded her head. Raya smiled lovingly at her new friend. Then Raya said, "come with me dep la, I wanna show you something. " Raya took Nammari's hand and dragged her off. But Raya soon stopped to give Nammari a flower. "No, you don't need to give me anything dep la." Nammari protested, but Raya insisted. Raya put the flower in Nammari's hand and she blushed bright red. They soon came to a cavern. They both walked up to find the dragon gem, completely untouched. This is it, this is my chance to earn mother's love back. But, Raya, if I do this, she could be hurt. But I'll play along. "The spirit of Sisu, I can feel it." Nammari said as she bowed. "It's the last bit of dragon magic left in the whole world. " Raya said. I can't do this, I can't hurt her. Nammari felt ashamed, and she started crying while looking at her. Raya looked back, "whats wrong dep la?" Raya asked. "I need to tell you something." Then, 3 arrows were shot, all of them struck Raya in the chest. "RAYA!!!!" Nammari screamed. She ran over to her friend. "No, no you can't go." Nammari started crying. Raya put her hand on Nammari's cheek. "I.. think I like you." Raya said weakly. Nammari hugged her friend tightly, "I don't like you, I love you, your ba loves you, your my only friend, please don't go. " Nammari said while crying. Raya looked at a flag in the arrow, "Fang?" Raya said as she went slack. Nammari then screamed as she cried into Raya's shoulder. Come back, please. Nammari thought. She had no idea what just happened, or what to do, her best friend was just, gone. She just wept for a long time. But then, she saw her mother, with a crossbow. "OK, let's get the gem." She said to her soilders. Nammari's blood boiled, "you did this," Nammari whispered angry. "YOU SNAKE!!!! YOU KILLED HER!!!!" Nammari screamed at her mother. Verena looked at her, "why are you over there." "WHY DO YOU THINK!!! YOU JUST KILLED THE ONLY FRIEND I EVER HAD!!!" "Don't raise your voice at me young lady. " Verena snapped. Then something in Nammari snapped like a twig. "I. Hate. You." Nammari said as she glared at her mother. "What?" Verena said. The Fang soilders just watched. "I! HATE! YOU!" She screamed. Nammari ran over to the dragon gem and smashed it on the ground, but instead of the drunn coming back. It sent a Shockwave across the cavern and killed her mother and the army all dropped dead immediately. "MOTHER!!!" Nammari yelled. As she ran over to her. Nammari just murdered her own mother. She had nothing, no one. What was one of the happiest days of her life has turned into a nightmare. Nammari cried as she ran back towards the palace. Benja was talking with the Spine Cheif. "Thank you so much for accepting our invitation. " Benja said. "No problem, I will admit, this palace is nice." But then they heard a voice. "CHEIF!!" Nammari screamed as she ran into the room and hugged chief Benja, the only person she felt safe around right now. "What's wrong princess. " Benja asked. Nammari was crying into his arms, she had only met him today and he already feels like a father. "Nammari, " Benja asked. "Where is Raya? "
Nammari had no idea what to do, she just cried. Benja started to cry as well, he knew well,, his daughter was gone. 2 months later- It was Raya's funeral. Nammari had been allowed to move in to Heart. She hardly spoke to anyone. She and Tuk Tuk became best buds. She kneeled on her bed just before the funeral. "Raya, I don't know if you can hear me, but, I just want your help. Just give me the strength to say what's been on my heart. And just know, I love you with my entire soul. I just want you here." Nammari cried. Nammari hadn't smiled in months. She couldn't, Raya was her only friend, she was killed by her mother, who she killed herself, but nobody knew about that last part. Tuk Tuk came up to Nammari and laid in her lap. Nammari pitied Tuk Tuk, he will never understand what happened, why his owner left. Nammari closed her eyes for a second. Someone knocked on her door. "Come in." Nammari said soberly. It was Cheif Benja. Benja adopted Nammari 1 month ago. And he was proud to have her as his daughter. Nammari knew she couldn't replace Raya, but she knew Benja wanted her to be her daughter, and she wanted him to be her Ba. "Hey be, I mean, Ba." Nammari said. She was still getting used to that. "Are you ready for the funeral. " He asked. Nammari started to cry, "no." She said. Benja gave her a hug. "I know, it's hard for me too. " Benja said, "but Raya would want us to let go, and live our lives. " Nammari started to cry harder, " I..I..I Can't." Nammari said through her voice breaking. Benja could see what they once shared was far more than a friendship. "You loved her didn't you?" Then Nammari just stared crying harder. Benja hugged her tighter, Nammari's young heart had been broken, and who knows if it will ever heal. "Raya was everything to me. " Nammari said as she started to breathe. "It's okay," Benja said. But he was crying to, first his wife, now his daughter. At the funeral... Nammari went to Raya's casket, "Raya, I am so sorry. You were my first and only friend. And I don't care who knows this." Nammari collapsed broken hearted on the ground. She couldn't control herself, "I love you. " Nammari said. Benja went to Nammari and hugged her. "I love you Raya, please come back. " Nammari sobbed into her Ba's shoulder. Benja started to cry as well, Raya was far too young to die, and Nammari was far too young to feel this kind of heartache. It was going to destroy her in the future, she would never be the same. "Cheif, " Nammari whispered sadly, "you're daughter was the single greatest thing to happen to me. " Benja cried as well, "Nammari, is it okay if I call you my daughter?" He asked. Nammari looked at him, smiled and nodded her head, "yes ba." They both hugged each other again, Raya's death had taken so much from them, but it also gave them one thing. A second chance. Nammari would finally have a true parent, and Benja had a second chance in Nammari.
