Chapter 5

Vik Pov

It was just another boring day in the work place, people coming and going getting to gear or new parts, it's been about 8 hours since I last saw Laura, and even still I miss her but like all people say {distance makes the heart go fonder} I couldn't help but think back to yesterday of having her in my arms, in my best her body close against mine it was heaven and I always wanted her to be there by my side I felt complete but I'm not sure how she feels and I kind of want to back off but I can't because all I want is her. After breaking out of my thoughts I headed up to Misty's shop after my last appointment to have lunch with Misty. I entered the door when I heard Misty's panicked. She looked over at me as she continued speaking. I got closer overhearing the conversation, but only could hear a little bit which was {I'll be there in five let Vik know to be ready and Laura's in bad shape, and the gig went wrong} after hearing that my heart broke i ran to my workplace and got everything ready. 

I heard the door open and saw V with Laura in her arms I ran over to them and took Laura out of her arms and into mine felling happy she was back. I placed her in the chair and started working on her. hours later of none stop working I finally finished, finally relaxing knowing she was going to be alright. I sat there watching her chest rise and fall and i looked at her face that was worry free and still beautiful. Without thinking I placed my hand on her face and rubbing my thumb back and forth on her cheek. 

I leaned my face closer to her wanting to kiss her but just decided on a forehead kiss. Minutes later I heard the door open looking up I saw that it was V "How is she? Is she going to be alright?" V questioned leaning up against the doorway before coming closer. "She's stable at the moment, but idk how long it's going to be he said sadly before looking away from V and at Laura, V came closer placing her hand on my shoulder giving it a squeeze, I placed my hand on my face from seeing her like that. "She'll be fine Vik don't worry you're the best Ripperdoc I know so she'll be fine" she said I looked up at her and dropped my hand into my lap" Yeah, I know V I should be used to things like this, but it still hits close when it's someone you care about, or people you care about" I responded V nodded at that before walking away. 

A couple hours later Misty walked in followed by Shiloh who ran to his owner's side and started rubbing his snout against her hand and whining trying to get her to wake up. "Hey Vik, how you are doing?" I looked up at her before looking back at Laura's sleeping form "I'm fine, you know it wasn't that long ago she was with me, and we were laughing and talking it was nice if I knew this was going to happened, I would have not let her leave my house and if she tried to escape, I'd chain her to the bed." I laughed at that and so did "Misty, well Vik she'll be fine I know it she's strong, the only thing that could kill her is herself" she patted his shoulder and walked out and went back to her shop. I stayed for a bit longer and decided to move her to my room. Once there i placed her on my bed I grabbed a t-shirt of mine and stripped her of her close and placing the shirt on her once that was done, I stripped myself and climbing in bed pulling her close to me and falling asleep happy she was in my arms again.

Well, it seems that Vik is holding out okay but how long will that last?
