The next day started with the smell of fire. I panicked waking up to the smell yet again.Tubbo and I tore out of the van before finding the source of the smell.
The bright flag that stood for our freedom that we fought and nearly died for
In flames
Stood under it was the silhouette of the fox hybrid, holding what could only be a small lighter.
Our symbol of freedom- in flames- it broke my heart.
But what hurt worse was the familiar figure who was the cause.
Fundy
I trusted him- he was like my brother- how could he do something like this. I gave in to the feeling in my head, falling to my knees, not knowing what to do.
Tubbo stood beside me- speechless.
Before either of us could confront him yelling was heard and the figure of Niki was seen running towards him.
"FUNDY!" She yelled "What are you doing?" Niki had made that flag before the war. She worked so hard on it.
"I'm doing what needs to be done," Fundy stated bluntly, "the flag was a memory of the pas-"
He was cut off by a slap from niki.
"Exactly," she said, from what it sounded like through tears, "it was a memory from where we came from, Fundy! We came from nothing! That flag stood through war and celebration! That was our history!" She yelled at him.
"I'm sorry-" he looked defeated, "it had to be done." He walked away towards the two of us. He paused once he reached us, it looked like he wanted to say something. He let out a defeated sigh and continued walking away.
"TUBBO!" Shlatt's voice boomed through the silence making Tubbo flinch and turn to where the voice came from, "Tubbo I need-"
He stopped mid sentence walking up to the boy.
"Who is this?"
"Oh- uh this is (Y/N)!" Tubbo seemed hesitant to introduce me.
"Where did she come from?" Tubbo pulled me to stand in front of the horned man, "I don't remember her being here before the election."
"I was taken during the war for independence," I started trying to seem confident, "Because of the chaos that happened during the election I was able to slip away from Dreams watch."
"Oh well then you're welcome."
"For what?" I snapped back at the president, ears pinned back showing my hostility.
"For helping you escape," His voice darkened, "You said it yourself, you escaped because of the chaos. That chaos wouldn't have happened if not for me."
"You did nothing to help me," I snapped at him, "You took away my family!"
"Tubbo, I'd suggest to you what the girl's behaviour is," Shlatt turned away to face the boy, "we can't have any crackling cats in our nation." Shlatt started to walk away before stopping, "Oh by the way I'd get started on helping tear down the walls, it's our new community project," he had a terrifying grin on his face making me back away slightly, "And Tubbo I need to see you in my office."
Without another word the horned man walked off leaving both Tubbo and I alone.
"Tubbo he can't be serious," I scoffed, "He can't seriously expect me to take down the walls I helped build and fight for."
"(Y/N) I suggest you get your picaxe," Tubbo quietly responded in defeat before walking off towards the large whitehouse.
"Tubbo you-," I yelled as he continued walking away, "Your serius siding with him?"
