"Don't worry about it," he said, grabbing my arm and dragging me away with him. Sure enough, I was dragged onto the stage and sat down beside Quackity. Tubbo looked at me with a panicked gaze as I returned the look. What started the speeches, I wasn't paying attention at all. My attention was on the two figures hiding in the windows and rooftop of the building beside the stage. Before I knew it, Shlatt had moved beside me, and Tubbo had started his speech. I needed out. I wasn't safe, not with the trigger-happy Wilbur and Shlatt right beside me. Tubbo was making some random analogy comparing Manberg to cabbage or something. I didn't care; I was still trying to find a way out. I guess Shlatt noticed my concern because a heavy hand landed on my shoulder harshly before his voice could be heard in a soft whisper, "oh don't worry, kitten." chills went down my spine when he spoke.
I looked back to the building to find that one of the figures was no longer there, and the other was pacing around slightly.
"Tubbo," Shlatt's booming voice spoke, making me jump slightly.
"Ya Shlatt?"
"Is that all?"
"Uh ya, I think that's everything," Tubbo spoke, flipping through his cards, "so without further ado, let the festival begin."
"Are you sure, Tubbo?" Shlatt moved up beside him.
"Uh ya, ya, I think so."
"Quackity," Shlatt turned to us before Quackity hit a button. Walls suddenly formed around Tubbo, causing a panic in the two of us.
"Tubbo," I shouted, standing and trying to run to him, but I was stopped by Quackity violently grabbing my arms and holding them behind my back. Tubbo and I matched gazes, both trapped and in danger.
"Tubbo do you know what happens to traitors," Shlatt's voice was dark as tubbo didn't respond, "nothing good," he whispered just loud enough for the two of us to hear.
"People of Marburg," Shlatt turned to face the crowd, "These two here have been scheming behind my back with the two fools I kicked out of this great nation." murmurs were heard in the crowd as Shlatt scanned the crowd looking for a certain someone.
"Techno," Shlatt spoke once more, "why don't you come up here."
Techno hesitantly stood walking up to the stage, passing me to stand beside Shlatt.
"Techno, I need you to take out Tubbo," Shlatt spoke.
"Like to dinner?" Techno let out an airy laugh; his face showed discomfort.
"No, Techno," Shlatt grumbled, pushing him in front of the cage Tubbo was in, "Take him out as in killing him."
The words made my heart drop. I knew what Shlatt was going to do since he questioned Tubbo but hearing it out loud was sickening. Techno stood in silence, glancing backward at the roaring crowd. What was going on inside his head?
"Technoblade?" Tubbs voice wavered, "techno, you can't do this, we're- we're friends, right?"
Something seemed to click in Techno as he slowly took out a crossbow loaded with fireworks.
"Techno, you can't do this," I shouted, trying to stop him, but his movement didn't waver as he aimed the bow at Tubbo. I started struggling against Quackity, I needed to do something to stop Techno, but Quackity just pulled me closer to him, not dropping his grip on me. Tubbo was stammering to get words out as he was looking death down the bow.
Not a second passed before Techno pulled the trigger. Loud explosions defended me as Quackity and I were thrown backward from the force of the explosive. I could hear a muffled voice yelling for Tubbo through the ringing. I could assume the yelling was Tommy, but I could be sure as my vision was dark. More explosions filled the air as I tried to find Tommy with my vision being impaired.
"T-tom-my," I started coughing violently when I attempted to call out to him.
"Wilbur?" Tommy called out shortly after I called for him, "Wilbur, I need some help up here." the ringing in my ears had died down so that I could hear now.
Hurried footsteps were heard shortly after before a slight gasp as the footsteps came in front of me. I felt a hand on my head making me flinch, ears pinned back almost invisible in my hair.
"(Y/N) it's me," Wilbur's voice called out softly. I instantly sunk into his grasp, "It's ok (Y/N). I'm here now." Wilbur picked me up before I could feel us start moving fast. Before I knew it, the yelling and noise stopped, and the only sounds I could hear were the frantic footsteps of Wilbur and Tommy as they slowly fell to unconsciousness.
