Shrek's life without Fiona was... well it was different. Shrek was strangely happy as he had more food for himself & Donkey. Donkey was a good friend. Possibly more, both were fresh out of relationships and ready to jump into a rebound one so they did. They would smooch over feasts and would hang out near Shrek's swamp together. There was one thing though, Shrek would never let Donkey into his swamp. No matter how many times they smooched and grabbed each other's thighs, Donkey was never allowed in. It was just a rebound relationship of course Donkey isn't expecting much they both knew what they were getting into Shrek thought. Trying to convince himself he wasn't hurting Donkey.
Shrek truly cared for Donkey, he just didn't love him. I can't let anyone in my swamp no matter how close we are, it's too hard to trust someone again, Shrek thinks, casually stroking his toxic, booger green skin with fresh stubble starting to peek through the pores. It's fine Shrek thought the relationship was gonna end soon enough. But when he goes to sleep the thoughts still slosh and slink around his slimy little brain.
I finally updated again :) dont expect another upload soon I procrastinate and I have a life, JK I don't have a life but I do procrastinate ._.
