"Crap, how?" I replied.
"I don't know, go back into your cell." he ordered me. I limped back into my cell, and picked up the rifle I'd been given earlier. Wanting to help, to prove myself, I ran out to the main room, eventually catching sight of Maggie, running towards the biters. As quick as possible, I ran after her. When I reached everybody, Maggie smiled at me, however Rick turned around, and walked towards me.
"What're you doing?" He said.
"I'm helping." I replied.
"You need to rest!" He said, in a stern manner.
"Look, I have a good shot, I know from experience that if there's walkers, you need all the help you can get." I told him, and he nodded as a reply, as I continued to walk towards the problem. A group of 10 of them were crowding the hallway, and began to move towards us as soon as they saw us.
"Don't use the gun." Rick whispered to me, handing me an axe.

I slung the gun over my shoulder, and ran towards them, wielding the axe that had just been handed to me. I cut the first walker down, like a tree, they had no emotional effect on me, in my mind, it was like swatting a fly. My adrenaline eventually kicked in, and everything quickly turned to a blur, the pouring blood, the screams, the groans of the walkers. Once again, they were all killed, and we could retreat to our cells.

The constant killing had begun to get to me, and my loneliness was slowly catching up. I hadn't had a proper relationship with anybody since the infection became widespread, I couldn't trust anybody enough to stay with them. Slowly realising that this would be what life was like, I began to pack the small amount of possessions that I owned. Placing them all in one bag, and tying my laces, I began to walk away from the prison, realising that I had no place here. Just as I reached the door that made a division between us and the walkers, Rick tapped me on my shoulder.

"Serena?" He said, softly, and once again, his dazzling blue eyes entranced me.
"What?" I replied, attempting to maintain concentration.
"Where're you going?"
"I don't know, I'll just see where life takes me."
"You can't leave, it's not safe."
"Well it didn't seem like you wanted me here." I retorted.
"What do you mean?"
"I heard you and Glenn talking earlier, if you don't want me here then I'll leave, its fine."
"I want you here." he said, now looking directly into my eyes.
"Why, because I'm a good shot?"
"No, because..." he stopped talking, I hung onto his every word. Looking down at me, he placed his hand on my arm, and slowly moved it into my waist. Our breathing was the only thing to break the silence between us, the truth was that I didn't know what to do, what he wanted. He leaned down, and our lips met. It felt like a shock of electricity going through my body, as I kissed him back. Time stopped, I didn't understand why he kissed me, but I went along with it, he was obviously a good person. As we pulled apart, he smiled at me, and said "Now will you stay?" I simply smiled and nodded, as I began to kiss him again. However I pulled away, when I heard somebody walking into the room. It was a boy, probably about thirteen, with dark hair, and Rick's deep blue eyes.It was his son....
