Prologue(The beginning of the end)

It's dark and gloomy in a back alley we're two men standing one appearing to be crying and one smiling in pain, the reason as to why? 𝙷 𝚎 𝚑 𝚊 𝚜 𝚋 𝚎 𝚎 𝚗 𝙸 𝚗 𝚏 𝚎 𝚌 𝚝 𝚎 𝚍

???:"Guess I over did it Huh bud?.."

The man chuckles while he looks at his companion knowing he messed up but smiling cause they didn't get bitten without a reason, as he looks in his palm he see's a USB, with tape on it and black sharpie titled "The cure"

???: I mean hey..There is always a sacrifice for something this important ri-"

But just as he was about to finish he gets slapped by his companion crying more clearly pissed at his friend

???:"SO WHY COULDN'T IT BE ME?! A CURE MEANS NOTHING IF IT MEANS LOSING MY BEST FRIEND..your a idiot Julian..then again you always have been huh?.. "

His friend has stopped being pissed but more sad but he grew a smile when he said that last part cause he would remember the times they both would have when they we're kids and how it was much different then now but as random as it came it suddenly stopped when they both heard the sounds of footsteps and groans also talking within them both, however they both knew what it was

Julian:"Listen to me Terry, you have to take this USB to base and give it to Mikey, it's the only way we can stop this, I'll hold them back for as long as I can but you have to keep running do not look back.. And tell Unique I'm sorry"

Julian now gets up, giving Terry the USB then grabbing from his pocket a grenade and Unholstering his trusty sidearm that he had for all of this journey with Terry only watching knowing what he was gonna do

Julian:"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? GO!"

Terry complies and runs to the way back to where they set up their base for survivors holding the USB tightly hearing in the distance Julian

Julian in the distance:"YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME?! I'LL BRING YOU ALL TO THE HELL YOU CAME FROM WITH ME!"

Suddenly Terry hears about 10 gunshots and a loud explosion at the very end, Terry being more sad about this whole scenario that Just occurred

Terry arrives at base with the USB then rushes to Mikey's makeshift laboratory

Terry:"MIKEY!? I GOT THE USB"

Suddenly a man comes out from somewhere in the lab looking at Terry confused and asks

Mikey:"Where's Julian?"

The sad reaction Terry gives from his face silently mourning the loss of his best friend tells Mikey everything he needs to know

Mikey:"..Oh.."

The lab was silent for what was felt to be days when in reality was a couple of minutes because of both their tight bonds with Julian before the outbreak, Terry hands Mikey the USB and Mikey plugs it into his laptop while Terry sits in the corner of the room dead silent

Mikey:"Wait-..NONONONO!"

Terry:"Hey whats wrong, what happened?!"

Mikey:"..It says there Is no cure, THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING!"

Terry:"..What.."

Only to get no answer because Mikey Is Looking for something while Terry is wide eyed Questioning to himself was his friends death for nothing? He looks at his handgun debating whether or not he should be with his best friend and family until suddenly he was tapped out his thoughts when Mikey sighs of relief

Terry:"did you find something..?"

Mikey explains:"Yeah, so their is no cure..However! There is a vaccine and in order to make it you would ne-"

Before he can finish, 𝚑 𝚎 𝚒 𝚜 𝚜 𝚑 𝚘 𝚝 𝚒 𝚗 𝚝 𝚑 𝚎 𝚌 𝚑 𝚎 𝚜 𝚝.

Terry quickly grabs Mikey and goes under a desk and Mikey gives Terry the USB with Terry not believing his eyes and tries to put pressure on the wound to slow the bleeding however he can smell fire

Mikey:"T*Cough*Terry..s-save eve*cough*everyone, you h-*cough*have to-"

Before he can finish once more he is shot in the head ending his life with Terry shaking in anger gritting his teeth then comes up

Terry:"ALRIGHT COME OUT ALREADY"

All of a sudden a women comes out which leads Terry to be dumb founded

Terry:"He.. HE SAVED YOU?! WHY!?"

???:"Oh you really thought I was defenseless? Please he had government issued armor and weapons not to mention 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 USB, I can't let you leave alive with that information"

Terry was ready to fight and brought out his revolver and also combat knife

Terry:"WHAT ABOUT UNIQUE?!"

???:"Oh her? She's gone we already dealt with"

Terry more sad then ever before in his life knows he can't cry so he gets into a combat stance

???:"Boy's wrap this up and get the USB"

Then government official's pop in armed to the teeth with Terry not moving a inch staying with his now deceased best friend

Terry:"If I die, Then I'll die in glory and take revenge for my friends!"

As he rushes in he remembers what lead him to this very moment and thinks back while rushing in to the armed official's
