Castiel explained to the sibling duo how he had sent them back to 1973 to stop something from happening, however, he didn't mention further what that something was, and then he was gone. Leaving Dean and Millie stranded in 1973, with a mission they had no clues about.

The duo walked towards a small café, trying to figure out where they were. As Millie walked casually around the place, seeing if she found anything suspicious, Dean sat down by the counter. Soon he began speaking to the stranger by his side, asking where they were.

Millie got a good look at the gentleman sitting next to Dean, and her eyes widened in realization. She sat down next to Dean as her brother introduced her to the man besides them. "Dean" she whispered and nudged her brother in the side.

"What?" He tried to keep it casual.

"The man next to you. It's dad" she whispered, making sure no one else could hear her.

"Are you sure?" just as he asked, an elderly man came over to the young version of their dad.

"Ahh John Winchester, are you back?" the elderly man asked.

"Yes, sir. Got back yesterday" John and the man shared a firm handshake, before the man left.

"Where were you stationed?" Dean asked.

"Vietnam," John answered, "It was nice meeting you, but I gotta go" John finished as he stood up and walked out of the café.

Dean and Millie were both confused as to why Castiel had sent them back to 1973, to the town their father lived in.

"Wait, aren't you born this year?" Dean looked at his sister.

"Correct, which means mom is probably not far away". The siblings looked at eachother, both thinking how nice it would be if they got a chance to see their mother again.

Millie considered herself as the lucky sibling. She had gotten to know their mother better than her brothers. After all, she was almost ten years old when Mary had died, Dean only being four years old and Sam not being a year old. Millie, however, had also seen the damage their mothers death caused her family. She knew growing up without a mother was hard on her brothers, and she was far too familiar with the pain it put their father through.

The siblings had decided to follow John throughout the day. During the day, Dean had managed to talk John into buying a beautiful black 67' Chevy Impala, also known as the car Dean still drives. Later that evening, John was seated in a booth in a diner, with a beautiful blonde girl sitting across from him. "That's mom," Millie whispered to Dean as they were peaking in the windows of the diner. "Wow, mom was hot" Dean whispered back, Millie only slapped his shoulder in response. The oldest Winchester told her brother to keep an eye on their parents as she walked around the diner, looking for anything out of the ordinary. Since Castiel had decided not to tell them the reason he sent the siblings back in time.

As Millie rounded the corner to where Dean was watching their parents, he saw Dean holding their mother up against the wall. Just as Millie walked over to them she could hear Dean whisper "You're a hunter?". His eyes wes stuck on the bracelet on her arm.

After having to explain to their young mother, why they had been following her and John, she seemed to accept it. However, they duo didn't tell her the whole truth. They told her they were hunters, knowing something bad was coming after her and they were here to stop it. Later that night, Mary agreed to listen to the two strangers as she let them come home with her after her date with John.

"You have dad's journal?" Millie asked Dean as they waited for Mary. He handed her the tired down journal. After a while looking through the journal, Millie found what she was looking for.

"I knew it! Look" Millie handed Dean the journal as she pointed to one of the lines.

Yellow-eyed spotted Lawrance, Kansas, March 1973 the line in the diary read.

"Wait, we're in 1973, right? Mom dies in 1983, that's ten years" Dean is starting to put the pieces together, however, his sister is way ahead of him.

"She will make a deal, you think Castiel want us to stop it?"

"We have to, if it means mom lives".

At the Campell's house, Millie and Dean are introduced to their grandparents for the first time. Samuel, Mary's father, didn't seem to trust other hunters, and Millie could understand where he was coming from.

After eating dinner together, Millie found Mary in one of the rooms, as Dean tried to convince their grandfather they were telling the truth about Mary being in danger.

"So, John, he doesn't know?" Millie sat down opposite of Mary. It was weird, she was older than her mother, talking to her as a stranger.

"No. I don't want him involved. And... and I want out".

"You don't like being a hunter?"

"I hate it. What about you? How did you get into it?"

"My mother died, or was killed, by a demon. Well, I was around ten, I was the oldest of my siblings. Dad started to hunt, and well, we had to come. So, I guess, we were pretty much raised into it or at least, we learned it as we grew".

"If I ever have kids, I will never let them grow up in this".

Mary had excused herself, but now she was nowhere to be found. Dean tried frantically getting Samuel to believe the siblings, he even went to the extent of telling the truth about who they were.

"You see, this journal was given to us by our father, he hunted the yellow-eyed demon, and it says here, he will be in Lawrence tonight"

It looked like Samuel was believing the siblings, but then his eyes flashed yellow. Dean and Millie tried to get their guns, ready to kill him, but he was faster. The demon had the siblings stung up against the walls in under a second, before he went to kill their grandmother, who was in the kitchen, ready to attack the demon possessing her husband. Deanna dropped dead on the floor as the demon disappeared to go after Mary.

In the car, Millie and Dean were silent, all until Castiel joined them.

"You found him" Castiel stated. Millie turned in her seat, angry at the angel in the backseat.

"You could have told us" Millie sneered at him.

"Cas, we could really use your help now" Dean tried to stay calm.

"I can't interfere, I'm sorry"

"What do you mean? We can kill Yellow-eyed now, and mom would live!" Now it was Dean's turn to get angry at the angel.

"No. You can't interfere with destiny" Cas sounded calm as he spoke.

"Then why did you bring us here?" Dean shouted at this point.

"You needed to see. There is no changing destiny, no matter what you do" and then Castiel was gone.

Dean and Millie pulled up to the clearing they knew Mary would be at. There, a scene was unfolding. Mary sat on the ground with the lifeless body of John Winchester in her arms. She was kissing the demon, signalizing the deal had already been made. Dean and Millie ran forward, screaming NO, with guns pointed at the demon. Dean with the Colt, in hopes of killing the demon. But the demon smoked out of their grandfathers' body, who now fell lifeless to the ground.
