"Perfect copy" is driven by Y/N's past failures, It aids his disire to copy other's movements, body types, and even blood demon arts.
Y/N can only copy base a BDA. Like if he were to copy rui's BDA, he wouldn't be able use rui's blood threads.
He also can't fully copy BDA's like upper moon one, or kaigaku's, he would only copy the base breathing, not the suped up version they have.
A big part of Y/N's demon art is he can copy/see memory's, through prolonged eye contact.
Another huge part of his demon art, is when he copies the build of another person/demon. In order to fully change and morph his body, he is able to freely control and manipulate how his blood flows throughout his body. He can also use it in other ways, Like forcing his body into an adrenaline rush, or copying a weapon, but he can't fully kill a demon with them.
(Also no, if he were to copy a female, he would not turn into one, he would only copy their height and body, minus the tiddies.)
He also cannot copy slayer marks.
