Are we still in love?

Y/n Pov

I woke up to a loud bang outside the window. I sat in my twin bed and hastily turned on the lights with my magic. Wanda who had previously been sleeping blundered her way through a question,

"Y/N my love did you just use your powers to turn on the lights?" 

"Yes dear, I heard a noise." I whispered, scared there was someone knocking on our window.

"You know I did hear about some unsavoury characters moving into the neighbourhood!"

"oh you mean like people who can fly and make things float using their minds?"

"Oh you don't think they mean us do you?! Oh well Y/n, then i'm sure there's nothing to worry about-" BANG! Wanda shrieked and hid under her duvet. after a few minutes of sitting in silence, our fear tangible, Wanda whispered "Someone really should check outside..."

"Yes dear, someone really ought to!" Once I realised that Wanda wasn't removing herself from her duvet safe-haven I plucked up the courage to use my magic, and open the window. BANG! The tree branch banged into our window at the force of the wind but at the sudden noise Wanda had pushed our beds together in a flash of scarlet energy. "Its just the tree dear. But I see you have taken the opportunity to redecorate." I smiled at my wife, as her eyes poked from her duvet fort.

"Why I suppose I have haven't I? Might as well make it proper would you do the honours my dear?" She asked me. I shut my eyes and imagined us in a king sized bed and when I opened my eyes we were. "Well I don't know about you but i'm rather chilly." Wanda snuggled up closer to me and shut her eyes and I did the same.

I awoke to Wanda lying on top of me. I scrunched my nose and smiled down at her. Slowly shuffling out of her grip I stood and walked to the shower, basking in the warm water.

"Y/n Honey?" Wanda shouted from the room next door in her adorable morning voice.

"Yes my love?"

"We have to practise for our magic tricks!" 

"But we have real magic!"

"Yes, my dear I had noticed, but we have to make it spectacularly fake! For the children." I smiled at the thought of little Wandas running around the house. I walked out of the shower drying my hair and summoned my male form. I dressed into a navy blue suit and walked over to Wanda, kissing her on the cheek. 

"lets practise then shall we!?" I walked over and dressed an imaginary crowd "I am illusion and this is my assistant glamour!" Wanda waved to the crowd of no one. "We will now perform our magic!" After half an hour of going through our recital we stopped as I had to get going.

"I will be back in no time for the show, I just have to make sure that we are safe in Westview sweetheart ." I smiled at her and put my hat on. 

"Have a nice day dear!" she called after me 

"Same for you my love!" I walked out the back door towards the library. It was a Saturday and so I expected the playground to be bustling with children but as I walked past all I saw was a swing squeaking as the wind blew it back and forth. It felt eerily quiet as I slowly wandered by it so I quickened my pace, eager to shake of the bad felling hanging over that playground.

I arrived at the library were all the men in town were gathered around a table discussing serious matters. I walked up to them and smiled. 

"Y/m/n, we weren't expecting to see you here. This is sort of members only."

"ahh, then I shall wait here until you open up for new business." I pulled out a chair and sat down. they all seemed taken aback but soon gave me warm smiles.
