"What?" Steve jumped back."No!"
Fear raced through Mathew's eyes as Jessica heard her phone buzz in his hand. He dropped her cell phone to the sidewalk. Jessica quickly picked it up, checking to make sure the screen wasn't broken. Relief moved through her as she dusted it off. "This is crazy!" Mathew said. Steve was suddenly looking around. "Are we on some kind of hidden camera?" Without warning, Steve fell back into a parked car that was right behind him. It looked as though he'd been pushed.
Jessica ran to his side. "Are you all right?" Steve looked scared. "Yeah."
"What was that?" Mathew asked.
"It felt like someone pushed me,"Steve said. Mathew nodded. "It looked like someone did push you."
This was getting crazy. Jessica did not want her friends getting hurt.
Steve ran a hand through his hair, trying to play it cool. "It felt like hands hit me in the chest."

It was me.

When her phone vibrated again, she looked down at it. Fear raced through her gut. " Corey said it was him."
Marci gasped. "I don't like this," Jessica said.
Mathew went to Steve's side. "What? But how?" Steve moved away from the car he fell against. "Maybe he's a ghost."

"It's possible," Mathew agreed. " My uncle is telling me about ghost all the time. He's into the paranormal scientific activity. Give me the phone. I have an idea." Mathew took the phone from Jessica. "So, Corey are you really a ghost?"

Yes! But I'm a good ghost.

Mathew nodded. "So how can we help you?"

The men are underground. Trapped.

Jessica came in close. They were all around her phone. "Can you tell us the location?"

Let me go back and check.

Wind whipped around the corner. "Okay, Corey."

I saw Kelker Street.

Steve shook his head. "I don't know about this."

Mathew nodded. "That is a long street."

Jessica added. "Corey, do you see any other street signs around?"

Let me check.

"Okay, Corey,"Jessica said.
Marci looked worried. "Do you really think this Corey guy is really a ghost for real?"
Jessica shrugged. "It wouldn't hurt to find out."
Steve shook his head."What if it's a trick?"
Jessica bit her lip as she thought about it. "I don't know. I don't think Corey is playing about something like this."

"So, are we in agreement about this?"
Mathew asked.

"I guess I'm in," Steve said.

"We're going to have to split up," Mathew said.
"Good idea, " Jessica said. "Marci you go with Steve and I can go with Mathew."

"I don't know if splitting up is a good idea." Marci said.

Steve looked shocked. "Yeah, we should stay together."
"Just stay together," Mathew said. "Nothing bad will happen if we all stick with each other!"

"Okay," Marci said. "Just don't leave me."

"I won't," Steve said.

"Where are they doing construction?" Mathew said.

" There are like four locations where the city workers have been doing work all week," Marci said.

"Where do you want to start?" Jessica asked.

You and Mathew go check by Joe's Shoe Store. Me and Steve will go over by Brewda's hat shop at the river front," Marci said.

"Good idea," Jessica said. "So, well meet each other back here after we check all the locations."

" Only if we are not able to find the city workers," Mathew said.

"Okay, Let's go," Steve said.
