The most dangerous animal in the world is a silent, smiling woman.
The sun was streaming through my windows as I woke up feeling at home again. I could hear the birds singing their songs outside, and I got inspired for a solo video for mine and Ramai's YouTube channel. I grabbed my vlogging camera off my desk and clicked record, not caring that I was still in my pajamas.
"Hey, guys, it's Lady Loki here this fine morning! I know y'all are probably wondering where Ramai is and where the heck I am and why I have a black eye. Well, to answer those questions, I'm back in Texas, and Ramai's still in California, right now, and of course, I got into a fight about a week ago. But, on a different note, I woke up this morning and was feeling a little inspired. You see, I'm a country girl through and through, so I'm going to show y'all the world I come from" I smiled at the camera as I started walking outside, breathing in the fresh air.
"So, I grew up working here on this beautiful ranch for my boss and close family friend, Jay. Oh, there's Jay! Jay, say hi!" I smiled, turning the camera so that Jay was in the frame.
"Hello, internet!" Jay laughed as he walked Castle out to the pasture so we could clean the stalls since it was about 5:30 in the morning, and it was time for chores.
"That was Jay and Castle, one of the horses. Let me show you, my baby, Loki" I smiled, walking down the shedrow and finally stopping in front of the last stall in the family barn.
"Loki," I whispered, causing my midnight black, thoroughbred stallion to turn his massive head towards me, making me smile.
He let out a loud huff that said, "where the hell have you been for so long?" and waltzed up to me from the back of his large stall. His onyx eyes glistened in the low light of the barn and warmed my heart.
"Guys, this is Loki, my three-year-old stallion. I was there the day this mammoth was born, and with the help of Jay, I've raised him since. I'll have to remember to show y'all a video of him sprinting around the barrels. Looks like he can fly," I whispered at the end as Loki sniffed at my hair, and I felt at home again while I pet his cheek.
"Cadence, I'm going into town for a few hours. Can you finish putting the horses to pasture and cleaning the stalls?" Jay questioned from the front of the barn as he smiled at Loki and me.
"Yes, Sir! I'll dump the buckets and put fresh hay in, too!" I called back and shut off my camera; I'd add more to the vlog later because cleaning the stalls isn't something that I would want on the vlog.
"Thank you! You might want to get out of your PJs, Baby Girl," Jay teased as I walked out of the barn looking at my soft sleep tank, shorts, and outdoor slippers.
"I was just going to do that" I laughed and jogged up to the house, avoiding any holes in the yard.
