One million memories, ten thousand inside jokes, one hundred shared secrets, one reason: best friends.

"I can't believe the first dress you tried on today was the one you got for your graduation!" Ramai exclaimed as they walked out to the car, excited to help Cade get ready.

"Hey, I'm not picky today since I need one, and the dress was the one you picked, so why wouldn't it be easy" Cadence responded with a shrug knowing that it was a cute dress that she'd be happy with.

"True," Ramai teased with a smile as they got into the care, "I'm surprised you didn't have your cousin meet us to shop for it, though."

"She was busy teaching today, but she'll be at the party tonight, and I sent her a picture. She liked it and told me to get it," she replied with a smile happy to finally have a dress.

"Sally is a smart woman," Ramai stated with a smile at her best friend knowing it would make Cade laugh

"Except with math," Cadence replied with a laugh.

"Well, let's get back to the house so you can finish getting ready. You've got two hours until you have to be at ASU West, and you've got hair and makeup to do," Ramai stated with a commanding tone knowing how long it would take Cadence to style all of her hair.

"Okay. Okay. God, I wish I hadn't made that deal with Caleb not to cut my hair. It's going to take forever to do!" Cadence exclaimed as they sped off towards her home, making Ramai laugh at how she reacted.

Two hours later

"I have no clue how we managed to do this in that amount of time!" Cadence exclaimed as she and Ramai pulled into a parking spot, and the rest of her family did the same but slowly got out of the truck

"I have no clue how we managed to do this in that amount of time!" Cadence exclaimed as she and Ramai pulled into a parking spot, and the rest of her family did the same but slowly got out of the truck.

Cadence tossed the keys to Ramai as she ran as quickly as she could in her heels to meet up with the rest of her class. Her once curly hair was almost straight as she threw half of it up and wore light makeup because that was all she had time for.

"You know even with the fact that she's wearing six-inch heels, Cadence runs pretty damn fast," Taddeo, Cadence's older brother, stated as Ramai and Cadence's family began to walk up the path as he admired his sister and all that she had conquered.

"Trust me. You should see Cade when she's wearing regular shoes or even heels that keep her feet in them" Jaeger, Cadence's younger brother, commented having seen her the most in the past nine years.

"The girl is capable of a lot. I'm honestly surprised she's not the valedictorian," Mabel Babette, their mom, stated with a look of pride on her face not knowing what Cade had gone through that had prevented her grades what they should have been.
