After the match was over, Y/N took his time to leave the ring and get backstage. He knew what would await him and right when he walked through the curtains, a furious Vince greeted him.
Vince:" You do realize what we're on about, right?"Y/N:" The fact that I hit a fan, yes."
Vince:" I tell everyone before they start to work matches that they should keep it professional. We're having a rekevised event right now and what do you do? You let a fan get to you and punch him right across the face! Do you know how much trouble you're in now?!"
Truth be told, this moment with the fan was probably recorded several times and judging by some of the tweets that were up on a screen, there was a lot of backlash within just a minute. Of course Y/N didn't intend to hurt an outsider, but this guy was disrespectful, pushing Y/N and getting uncomfortably close. He had to keep this fan off him one way or another.
Y/N:" Listen, I get that you're mad, but I was just defending myself. This guy would've hit me first if I didn't react."
Vince:" We value the safety of our employees, but our fans are just as important. I can't believe you've actually done this!"
Vince got even angrier and was really close to getting into Y/N's face, but Shawn Michaels of all people kept the two separated.
Shawn:" Alright, let's all calm down here. There's no need for further adding fuel to the fire."Vince:" Y/N, you will be fined for this mishap. I can tell you that much. Expect a letter in the next few days."
Y/N nodded, but the most surprising part was that he indeed smiled throughout the confrontation. Not many people could allow themselves that and walk away unscathed, but things took another turn when Y/N got serious again.
