Luke: "Touch had a memory." John Keats.

"So where are we going again?" JJ asked and furrowed her eyebrows as Emily grabbed onto her hand. The raven-haired woman kissed JJ's knuckles sweetly before gesturing to the restaurant across the street. "Oh, we are not eating there. It's too expensive."

"Of course I had to take you to Capital Grille," Emily said and tugged JJ along. The blonde woman dug her heels in protest. "Jennifer."

"Em. It's too expensive," JJ said and did her best pleading eyes to get Emily to change her option. Emily simply pulled JJ right against her leaned in, kissing her sweetly.

"And you're worth every penny," Emily whispered against JJ's lips. The blonde woman couldn't help the smile that crept up on her face. "Now, please. We're both starving and there's really good food waiting for us on the inside."

"Fine," JJ said and rolled her eyes.

"Sorry I'm late. Reid was talking my ear off about the newest computer organization for the bureau. He asked if he could be sent the files so he can print them out himself," Emily said and chuckled as she walked towards the table JJ was at. The blonde woman took the sight of Emily in. The raven-haired woman always looked amazing, but there was something about that light blue dress shirt and black winter coat that made her look irresistible. Emily quickly discarded her jacket and finally sat down at the table. "So, my apologizes."

"Emily. I'm not a stranger. I'd understand why you were late," JJ said and smiled softly at Emily. The raven-haired woman sharply inhaled and smiled forcefully at JJ. "I also ordered up a bottle of white for the table."

Honestly, she didn't know what she was doing here. This wasn't some friendly dinner between the two of them. Emily and JJ were far from being just friends. Without anyone else here, and especially at Capital Grille, it felt more like a date than a formal meeting. A very expensive date night Emily might add.

"So," Emily said and leaned back in her seat. The raven-haired woman was trying so hard to just look at JJ's eyes, but she was curious to what the rest of JJ looked like. "Let's talk."

The waitress came by and happily interrupted the two. JJ couldn't be more thankful for this waitress. Both placed their orders and was given their bottle of wine. The silence between the two was thick as they sat back and just sipped on their glasses.

Emily tapped her fingernails against the glass as she watched JJ. Both women couldn't look away from the other's eyes.

"Honestly, JJ. What's going on with you that you felt the need to—"

"I realized," JJ blurred out and swallowed harshly. The blonde woman rolled her shoulders back and sat tall as Emily looked at her. "I don't want to say I made a mistake, but there was obviously some unresolved feelings for you that I never explored fully. A gun to your head and with no weapons really makes you think about your life while you still can. I couldn't die a happy woman with these thoughts in the back of my head."
