"You got everything, Eyebags?" Katsuki aks in his normal, almost yelling, voice.

Hitoshi has been procrastinating on packing his bag to go "home." That place doesn't feel like home to him, and he doesn't want to go back. He just wants to stay here, with his friends, and the two men who feel more like his parents than the people who raised him, here, where he feels accepted and loved.

"The old hag isn't going to wait forever!" Katsuki is getting more frustrated with his friend. He doesn't want to go home either, but he'll be back sooner or later. That's how it always is, when the stupid old man's words get to their worst. And it's not like Hitoshi won't see them again. They meet at UA every day after school, and they have the occasional sleepover during weekends.

"Sorry," Hitoshi mumbles placing the last article of clothing back in his bag, waiting for Izuku to bring his Koseki back to him after scanning it to his lap top. "I'm just waiting on Izuku."

"Oi, Deku!" the older boy yells just before their green haired friend rushes through the door.

"Sorry, our scanner is old, and it didn't want to turn on." Izuku apologizes as he starts mumbling on about the research he needs to do in order to find more information for Hitoshi. Just as it sounds like he's about to say something about asking his dad about a name, Katsuki smacks him around the head to prevent him from accidentally letting out the hero's secret.

"Enough mumbling, Nerd. Just walk us out already."

Izuku grins at his friends. It was nice having both of them over for an entire month. He hopes that his parents can convince the Shinsous to let Hitoshi stay for winter break too, especially now that his dad's sickness is gone. That was the weirdest thing this month, Izuku's dad just suddenly started getting sick, and then two weeks later, he was fine again, nothing else out if the ordinary, just that.

The three boys head out to the Bakugous car. Mitsuki had offered to drop Hitoshi off at home so that Shouta and Hizashi didn't have to. She can never express her gratitude to the two men enough for letting Katsuki stay with them any time he needs to. Mitsuki may not be the best mom, but she does love Katsuki and wants him to be comfortable with who he is, and having someone else like him to go to for advice definitely helps with that.

The whole ride to his house, Hitoshi is silently brooding, facing the window. Katsuki worries for his friend because he can tell that there's more to his situation than what he let on when he told them about how much money he's given for food. No child should be forced to go hungry, ever, but Hitoshi can also be jumpy at times when Katsuki gets into arguments with Deku, and anytime that one of them would so much as get their hand near Hitoshi's mouth, he would practically start hyperventilating. There's definitely something else going on in that house, and Katsuki is determined to find out. He has to get his friend out of there.

This chapter is super short, I know, but it's just a filler chapter. There's definitely more to come after Hitoshi is back home.
