It's been a while. [MAJOR UPDATE]

    I am sorry.

    I am sorry for letting you all down with my—wow, it has been a hot second—many months of absence. For my increased silence and sheer shame, once I came back, barring me from even responding to your questions. For my many traitorous thoughts, once I returned, of dropping Destiny entirely and leaving it on an eternal cliffhanger. For leaving so many of you behind, so many of you that liked, maybe have even loved my story.

    I am so incredibly sorry.

    Alrighty, now that that's out of the way—onto the larger announcement.

    Let's pretend, for a minute or two, that I wasn't moving across the ocean again and trying to rebuild what I never lost. And that I never started high school, and that the pandemic didn't spit in the face of probably my only friend and dragged her under the dirt.

Let's pretend that I just had hundreds of hours to think.

I've had a sort of epiphany. A development in my writing style.

I read over my creation and saw that it was so... bland. It seemed very cookie-cutter, awkward, too controlled by the script and creation of Ninjago. Like the story wasn't made for you, but for the sake of plopping you into the plot and having you just... exist.

    I want to fix that.

    I am considering a rewrite & continuation of Destiny.

The script will be much more fluid—much more open. I won't go word-for-word, action-for-action. I'll freestyle a little, a change here, a new sentence there. I want this world to come alive, to be something you can see. Will I go through with this? I will try. I already have the prologue & almost all of chapter one finished. I don't know if I'll have the dedication to truly follow through, but I will try.

    For those of you that left along the way, I do not blame you. I have let you down, deserted you in your thirst. I will try to do you justice in the chapters to come, and maybe we'll find our way to each other again.

    For those of you that are still here with me—I... don't know what to say. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, from the depths of my soul, I thank you for being here with me. For you, I give you this reborn variant of Destiny.

And perhaps... that will be almost enough to earn your forgiveness.
