(A.N. Ouch, it's this episode. Oh well, it's definitely not the most intense one of S1. Also, I might have to make another book once this hits the 200 chapter max if I keep this writing style up, which I fully intend to do. Hooray!)

Deep in the backstreets of Ninjago City, a poor Venomari ran at top speed through the alleyway. he continued to look over his shoulder, finally believing he'd lost them—but a blaze of white stopped him in his tracks. Shaking, the snake couldn't back away fast enough and Zane covered the pavement with slippery ice. The Venomari lost his footing but just managed to scamper away. Only a few steps away, however, a spectacle of lightning was perched atop a telephone pole. Jay used his nunchucks to conduct the lightning like a whip, trying to grasp the green snake as he ran away. The Venomari tried running into an alleyway, but he tripped over a pile of boxes—and came face to face with a blazing Kai. And just when he turned to run away from him, the Venomari smashed straight into Cole.

"Going somewhere?" Cole chuckled as the other ninja gathered around the snake.

In moments, the snake was intimidated by a few Golden Weapons. "Uh-oh."

"Thought you could joyride through town and not be noticed, huh?" Jay quizzed. "Where's the last Fangblade?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," the Venomari said stiffly.

Kai held the Sword of Flames a little closer, letting the snake feel the heat. "You know what it is. The fourth Fangblade. When Pythor finds them all, he plans to unleash the Great Devourer."

"Oh. That Fangblade," the snake hissed nervously before chuckling. "Haha. You're too late. Pythor'sss already there now. He'ss probably already digging it up. If I were you, I'd sssstart preparing for the worssst. Because when the Great Devourer is awakened, there will be nothing it won't consssume!"

The ninja exchanged a mildly worried look before Zane stated, "Won't that mean it'll consume you too?"

The Venomari blinked, given a whole new point of view. "Ah! Pleassse, you have to stop him! That sssnake is crazy! He thinksss he can do anything since he found the Fangbladessss without the Venom-Born! I don't wanna unleasssh the Great Devourer! I'm a sssnake, not food!"

"Is it really too late to stop Pythor from getting the last Fangblade?" Kai asked, though he was considerably less aggressive. "And who's the Venom-Born?"

"You're daysss behind him," The Venomari stammered, "There'sss gotta be ssssomething elsse you can do! And—And the Venom-Born! I didn't see them with my own eyessss, but I know that they're here! They have the venom!"

The ninja nodded to each other and let the snake go, boarding the Destiny's Bounty and taking off through the night.

A map on the bridge showed where their ship could be sailing. "The Venomari's right," Nya sighed, "By the time we cast sail clear across to the other side of Ninjago, Pythor will have already beat us to the last Fangblade."

"Oh, come on, guys," Jay groaned, "This is the last one. We gotta get it! We gotta think of something."

You skated in tight circles, deep in thought. Then you perked up, skating over to Lloyd and whispering your idea in his ear. He nodded. "Hey, we've got an idea."

Everyone turned to you, and you gulped. "So... we just need one Fangblade, right?" You hinted. They nodded. "Then... why don't we just take the others?"

"Pythor wouldn't risk having them all on him," Lloyd agreed. "He's probably hidden them somewhere while he goes for the fourth."

Cole shook his head in disbelief. "It's so simple."
