"So then we all agree. The prophecy states that one of us will become the Green Ninja-and or Grey Ninja-and the issue will not rest until it is decided."

Jay and the other ninja had just gotten back to the monastery, and were now talking outside of the dragon cabinets. "May I suggest a tournament?" Zane said, following Jay up the mountain steps.   "Last ninja standing is the best."

"And will be declared the Green and or Grey Ninja!" Kai smirked under his hood, confident who would be the winner. "I love it!"

The ninja arrived at the training compound-and there was Nya, training hard as ever. She flipped and dodged between wood, jumping from pillar to pillar. She landed on the spinning axes, jumping and ducking-too late. An axe hit her smack in the face, knocking her to the ground.

"H-Hey, Nya," Jay said shyly, looking down on the girl. He pulled down his blue hood and laughed nervously. "Closer to beating your brother's speed record?"

The blue ninja helped Nya up as she sighed, "I'm getting there. Heard what happened in town. False alarm?"

"Yeah," Kai said, putting a hand on his sister's shoulder. "Uh, but we're gonna need the space. Sorry, sis."

Cole opened the fencing cabinet and took put a helmet. Tossing it to Jay, it hit the latter and bounced off of his head. "Two matches," he said, taking another helmet for himself as he held in his laughter. "Then the winners of each face off for the title. Armors for our own protection. It's time to see what these babies can do."

Kai slipped on a helmet and brandished the Dragon Sword of Fire. "Hey, Nya. Wanna stay and watch me mop the floor with them?"

"No, thanks. I think I'll just visit Jamanakai Village." She turned and walked out of the monastery doors.  "Knock yourselves out," she laughed.

"Alright! First up: Kai versus Jay!" The two ninja bowed to each other respectively as the training devices lowered into the ground. As they drew their weapons, Cole shouted, "Ninja, go!"

They leapt at each other, minds filled with thoughts of glory. The first hit sent Cole backwards onto the floor. Jay spun his nunchucks, attempting intimidation. However, they started spinning faster and faster as the others watched-and the blue ninja ended up shocking himself.

Kai took advantage of the distraction to try and land a hit on Jay, only for the inventor to retaliate. They blocked each other's attacks again and again, until Kai ran up the side of the monastery and continued to fight. As Jay spun his nunchucks yet again, preparing for an attack, a small ball of fire flew from Kai's sword, knocking the blue ninja down.

The fire ninja stared at his sword for a moment, then grinned. One down.

Zane and Cole lined up facing each other, with Kai counting them off. Jay was sitting to the side, dismal and disappointed. "Next up: Cole versus Zane!" The two bowed yet again. "Ninja, go!"

Cole immediately drew the Scythe of Quakes as Zane spun the Shurikens of Ice. They started each other, trying to find a weakness. Cole launched himself at the Ice Ninja, slicing an obstacle in half. Zane landed behind him, and was forced into deflecting Cole's quick blows. After jumping behind the Earth Ninja once again, Zane pushed his power into the golden weapon and threw it at Cole. The latter stood in shock for a moment, staring at the glowing weapon, before planting his foot on top of it. A small glacier formed, but that was about it. Cole smirked. Those Green and Grey gi's are as good as mine!

Zane stared a bit too, before twirling his other Shrunken threateningly. Cole tried to jump forward again, only to find he couldn't move. The tiny glacier had turned into a huge ice block, encapsulated his feet! Cole quickly deflected one Shrunken after another, trying to draw his opponent in close. Eventually Zane was just the right distance-and the trapped ninja used his scythe to sweep Zane's feet from under him. Holding it against the white ninja's chest, it was a clear victory.
