Three: Ambush

We drive to a cafe off pack territory. We all inside holding hands and sit at a table by the window in a corner. I order a sandwich and French frys and ice cream. I eat my sandwich and frys.im in the middle of sexual licking my ice cream off the spoon when cody stiffens. Then I smell it and it's invading the place fast it's the sickly sweet smell of vampire and at least four by the smell. I sniff the air again and let out a low growl there all newborns I'm struggling to get my wolf under control its not pack teritory there's nothing we can do about it I try to convince her but she dosent want to be reasoned with she just wants revenge. Cody looks over at me and sees my eyes almost completely emerald green. He gets up and sits behind me and just attacks my lips. When he finally pulls apart he looks at me." Better now" I nod and sniff the air the smell is retreating and I look out the window and see four teenagers and gasp. " cody" I choke out close to tears " Srew them on my teritory I'm gonna kill whoever changed them there so young they could have had good life's they have to be only about 15 or 16" my eyes are comply emerald green and Cody sees it when I look up he grabs my hand and we walk out as soon as we're out I shift and run into the woods cody coming up behind me. I tilt my head back and let out a loud howl full of sadness and anger I'm determined to find who changes those kids and end there life. I'm still fuming trying to think what kind of low life worthless person would do that to kids. When I stop and sniff the air I come to a complete stop were no more than a few feet inside my territory line and I smell wolf and not my pack but dirty rotten smelling wolf that's been hanging with vamps. Codys stopped sensing something's wrong with me and sniffs the air then growls.I pad calmly and as quietly as possible to my territory line. I stand at the edge and sniff the air again there close only two though so if we have to fight it should be easy. I sit patiently waiting with cody beside me he sends you ok I brush against him and lick his snout yea I send back. He wags his tail and I wag mine. Then when I look out past the trees toward the field that boards our territory. I see them one wolf in wolf form the other in human. Their calming walking toward us. I jump up to my feet. My wolf beautiful and tall taller than most wolfs and intimating. I snarl and growl. Cody just stands behind me growling. As the wolfs approach the one in human form speaks. " I'm Simon and this is Chloe he points the mangy wolf. I feel suffocated by their scent and want to vomit but I not at cody and he walks off when he comes back he's wearing clothes and in human form so he can speak to the intruders.What are you doing here he practically growls I back him up growling. The mangy wolf who's name is Chloe growls back by one look from me and she shuts up benefits of being an alpha. The wolf called Simon speaks. " down girl we just want to talk" " "about what" cody spits out Simon chuckles "about your territory it's to big and we want some of it" I growl stepping forward a bit he only laughs cody speaks " what the hell you think we're going to talk about territory with some filthy mangy wolfs who's best friends are a couple of vampires." Chloe attacks me but I jump out of the way I spin and grab her by the neck keeping her pinned while cody fights with Simon. Seeing he can't win he flees leaving behind Chloe. She whimpers as she watches him leave. I pick her up by her scruff and carry her along with me through the woods to the pack house cody following behind still in human form.I drag Chloe into the pack house I spit her out gagging from her taste the other members surround her I walk off and put some clothes on I grab some for Chloe I walk back to her throw a blanket over her and toss her the clothes. She shifts and gets dressed when she's finished I see she's young at least fourteen or fifth teen and Simon had to be maybe sixteen. I kneel beside her. "Ok your young but I'm not gonna sugar coat anything your not in any danger though I wouldn't hurt anybody as young as you unless I had a good reason,but I do want to know who sent you here and were you changed or born like this and how old are you." " I don't know who sent us I was born like this but I had no pack and Simon found me and took me in but he never let me meet the people we were working for." She starts crying " me and Simon were supposed to be mates he kept promising me a better future I can't believe he just left me here oh and I'm fifth teen Simons sixteen" I feel sorry for her I sigh " well I'm sorry about that and if you try your best to help us find these people I'd let you stay here if you can prove we can trust you we have a wonderful pack and I'm sure you can find someone better than Simon i promise you if you stay here you'll have a much better future." She sniffles I can try to help and really you'd let me stay after what I did." I don't think you knew I think it was all Simons idea your a good kid you just had some bad guidance." She looks up at me and I see the pain in her eyes but also hope." Thank you" I pat her head " your welcome but for now until you prove you can be trusted you'll have your own room but it has no windows and you'll have a guard outside the door sorry but it's just until we can trust you" she nods " I understand." I get up and walk over to Isaac who's been making goggly eyes at Chloe every since she arrived. " snap out of it if you want a shot prove to her your worthy and can i trust you to guard her it gives you an excuse to be around her but I have to know u want be letting her go." I whisper to him he nods and whispers back " I won't you can trust me." " good " " oh and Chloe your gonna have to bath you smell like vampire and normal wolfs can stand the scent." She blushes sorry I didn't know I've never come in contact with vampires I didn't know what they smelled like." " it's ok but Isaac gonna show you were you can bath and then were you can stay he's gonna be your guard so if you need anything go to him." She nods and looks at him blushes then looks away. He pushes his hands further into his pockets and looks at me. I shrug and brush against cody who's been standing beside me the whole time. He sticks is tongue out at me then leads Chloe upstairs. I lean against cody and sigh as the rest of the pack disperses. He looks down into my eyes I let out a little growl my wolf may be taller than most but I'm still short and my amazing height of 5,2.
