Nine: Slap in the face

I walk into school with cody holding my hand we find the rest of the pack and sit down at our regular table and talk until the bell rings.

We get up and go our separate ways. Cody walks me to my class. He pulls me into a hug and whispers I love you lilly be safe.

i whisper I love you back and walk into class with everyone staring like how the hell did you get him.

I smirk at everyone and sit down.

I can hear everyone's conversations while I work thanks to my wolf ears. Two of the most popular girls at school think I'm sleeping with him to get him to stay. I snicker if only they knew.

Some other girls don't think it will last long due to his reputation others just feel sorry for me because they think he's a jerk. I laugh at this they don't know him like I do he's sweet gentle kind caring and loving.

When class is over I get up to go to my locker when the two popular girls who think I'm sleeping with him get up.

One of them push me and I can feel my wolf rising. The other one looks at me and laughs I'd fight back if I didn't think it kill them.

" your fucking him aren't you it won't last long" the first one sneers

I laugh " oh darling your just jealous besides a lady never kisses and tells."

I turn to walk alway then turn back around "oh and why don't you tell your friend here how every time you go to her house you sleep with her brother"

Her friend gasps and looks at her shocked. She actually looks terrified her secrets out. I laugh and walk off to my locker where codys waiting for me.

He pulls me into his arms and kisses me I kiss him back then pull away. He grabs my hand and takes me to my next class. I look out the window to see violet, Austin, and three other newborns looking mischievous.

Reality suddenly slaps me in the face as much as I'm trying to be normal. I'm not and I need to get home NOW. I think violets up to no good.

I run outside using shifter speed that way no one sees me leave the school. Shifters can run fast and it's to fast to be seen by human eyes.

I get to my car and Codys there we get in and I drive off with the top down.

" so we can't go to school for a while can we"

I look at him " no we can't not while violets around"

" I thought so"

I look at his worried face I rub his leg with one hand " well be fine but I've got to put the pack safety ahead of everything"

" I know I understand i just don't want to tell my parents while I'm skipping school"

I laugh " we can tell them together"

I laugh and we talk some more mainly about stupid stuff.

I pull into the the garage and park next to clarks car. I look around Gracie's cars not here yet. It's her turn to pick up the boys from middle school. That's what you get when you have two eight graders and one sixth grader.

I'm just glad it's not my turn. We get out and go inside. I grab a granola bar and start eating it.
