I woke up to a silent house. The only thing you can hear was the sound of someone's breathing; my guess is it's Liz Forbes. She found out that Damon, Stefan and Caroline and I are all vampires so we took her back her to let the vervain leave her system to compel her to forget.

I walked downstairs to the cellar and found Caroline sitting outside the door. She was silent listening to her mothers breaths. When she noticed I was there, she sat up a bit and smiled at me and sighed, "Hey."

"Hey, how is she?"

"She's good," She tried to smile, but the smile faded instantly, "I think. I wouldn't know exactly because she refuses to talk to me."

"Give her time. She's your mother, Caroline. She's going to love you no matter what." I saw a tear escape her eye, but she quickly wiped it away. I sat next to her, and she rested her head on my shoulder. We sat in silence until I heard Damon walk through the door. "I'm gonna go talk to Damon." She nodded.  I reached out and grabbed her hand, "Remember she loves you no matter what."

I walked up the stairs into the living room and Damon threw himself onto the couch with the bottle of bourbon in his hand. I let out a little laugh, "Starting a little early today, aren't we?"

"I'm going to kill Mason Lockwood." He chugged the bourbon. "And you and Stefan are not going to stop me."

"I know and Stefan knows." He stared at me. "He tried to expose us. He's done." He went to give me a high five when someone knocked on the door.

Damon walked over to the door and opened it to find Jeremy waiting. Damon did a stupid chuckle, then shut the door on Jeremy. Jeremy knocked again and I pushed Damon out of the way. I opened the door and smiled towards Jeremy.

"Thanks." He smiled back. "I know something."

"Unless you know how to kill a werewolf, leave." Damon said irritated.

He ran over and tried pushing Jeremy through the door when he blurted out, "Tyler has to kill someone to become a werewolf! He isn't one yet!"

Damon let go of him, thought for a second, then started to push him again, "Not enough."

"Damon, hear him out." Damon didn't listen to me.

"Mason Lockwood is a werewolf! He's looking for the moonstone! That's why he's still in town!" Damon let go of him again. "And I know where it is so if you want to find it, you need to let me help."

"And I'm guessing Elena doesn't know?" Jeremy looked away. "You can live if you get me the moonstone."

"I can do that. But no telling Elena."

"I am not supporting this. " I said shaking my head in disapproval.

"Good, then leave." Damon snapped back.

I gave him a look then walked out the door to my car. I had to go to the Lockwood's to set up the masquerade ball. Caroline was supposed to do it, but she's busy with her mom.

I headed to the Lockwood's. When I arrived I found Mason lifting things off of his dark green jeep. I ran over to him and hopped on the back of his jeep. I did it so quietly that he jumped back when he turned around and saw me. He had terror in his eyes, but he was trying to keep it cool.

"Hi, Mason." I said with a wide smile. "It's great to see you on this sunny day. It's almost as sunny as the day of the picnic. Don't you think?"

He stared at me and hesitated, "Uh, yeah. It's very nice out."

I continued to smile at him, "It's so good to be alive. Don't you think?"

"You would know." He spat out. "You'd think Sheriff Forbes would be here, don't you think?" He said mocking me.
