"Twenty-three." Liz counted the sit-ups Teagan was doing, they were both partnered up for today's lesson. "Do you always like to swear?"
"Hate..."
"Twenty-four." She rolled her eyes at the short teenager, her face was flushed and bangs stuck to her sweaty forehead.
"P.E!" Teagan wheeze.
"Twenty-five!" The teenager fell on her back, breathing hard. "Yay! There you go. See? That wasn't so hard, was it?"
Teagan felt like kicking her in the face, but that wouldn't be very Rockstar of her. So the Scorpio girl resorted to glaring at the cinnamon skin woman. Liz smiled while standing up and heading over to the benches where the rest of her friends were. Teagan remained on the floor just feeling the burn of her abs while staring at the ceiling, she closed her eyes and tried to ignore all the surrounding sounds.
But despite the feeling of tiredness pressing down on her, Teagan's mind couldn't stop thinking. She was worried about Leilani, it took Leia two years to officially win over Teagan, after Alora left them Teagan refused to get attached to another person. But Leilani, was nothing like Alora, sure the Stark girl was caring, altruistic, walking sunshine, etc. The difference is that Leilani is real, that woman is so down to earth, she got her feet on the ground, every challenge was just another chess game for her. Before Teagan liked her, she admired her, she was competent, confident, and extremely smart. The best of the best so at the end of their second year dating, she had won Teagan over, just by being herself.
Then thoughts about Leo and Heathen rushed into her mind just like that, her first and current reaction was excitement. Teagan had always led a fairly normal life, both of her parents were very much in love with one another, and she had a good relationship with them until lies got in the way. So for once in her life, something extraordinary is happening, something exhilarating. Did she know how to deal with it? No- heck, she didn't even know how to help Leo, but one thing was for sure, she wanted in on this.
"Hey, did you see the bank security cam on YouTube?" One Midtown student gushed from th3 benches, Teagan released a heavy sigh before opening her tired eyes. "He fought off four guys."
"Oh, my God." Liz gushed.
Teagan rolled her eyes before turning over her tummy and propping her elbows on the cushion, palms cupping her cheeks. She cast a glance over at Ned and Peter, who were two people away from her.
