"Angel! Are you ready to go?" Asked the demon upon walking through the bookshop's entrance. They had a lunch date planned and were going to a new Indian restaurant downtown.

"In a minute, dear! Just finishing up today's inventory."

"What inventory? I haven't heard you mention any new books. And you haven't sold shit since 1857!"

"Oh, how you exaggerate! I'll be with you in a minute, darling!"

"Yeah, I heard." Said the demon as he made his way over to the back room. In it, he saw Aziraphale bent over, his torso had practically disappeared into a big crate labeled "Classics". Feeling a little frisky, and in the mood to get a bit scolded before dinner just for making his angel blush, the redhead walked up to Aziraphale's backside and squeezed it.

The angel yelped and backed out of the box. After turning around, Crowley's grin turned into a look of confusion. Aziraphale's facial features were different. Well, only slightly. The features were the same, but less pronounced, almost softer in a way. Shifted a bit too. He also noticed Aziraphale's hairstyle had changed, at least in length, because there was much more to style at the top compared to literal millennia. He found this strange, since the blond had never done anything different with his hair or face. Then those features became the last thing on the demon's mind when his gaze went below the principality's neckline.

"So, uh... Those are new..." Said Crowley, wondering if it was wrong to be staring at his boyfriend's (Girlfriend's? Partner's?) breasts.

"They are, indeed." Said the angel.

"Why?"

Aziraphale pouted. "I had assumed you were going to like this form."

"No-, yes-, angel, my brain's trying to catch up, give me a moment." Said the scrawny being as he flopped back-first onto the sofa, while still staring.

"What's so hard to understand, my dear? You've changed forms many times in 6,000 years."

"Yeah, but you've never shown an interest in it whenever we talked about me doing it, so I never expected it!" Explained Crowley.

"Well, there's no need to be so caught off guard. I was as well, when the idea popped into my head recently."

"How recently are we talking?"

The blond thought about it for a moment. "About two weeks after we started dating."

The concern on Crowley's face then became obvious. "You're not changing because of me, are you angel? Because I don't want that." He hurried to say.

Aziraphale quickly sat next to him. "Oh no, dear. It's not self esteem related or just to please you. I like my usual body, I always have. But ever since the world didn't end and we got together, I've been wanting to try some new things. This was at the top of the list because of how easy it is for me to make the changes."

Now calm, the demon let out a soft chuckle. "You have a bloody bucket list and you hadn't told me?"

"Is it truly a bucket list when you're an immortal being?"

He shrugged. "Probably not, maybe just a to-do list in our case. What do ya have on it?"

"Being with you and all that implies. Trying out a female form and all that implies. Everything else is fairly mundane, if I'm being honest. Just simple things that I can do now that I've, essentially, been fired. I have all the time and freedom in the world now, may as well put it to good use."

The redhead smiled, taking both of Aziraphale's hands and kissing them. "Happy for ya, angel. Need my help with anything not related to the first item on the list?"

"Actually, yes. We still haven't had our picnic."

"I'm free whenever you are. Just say the word and I'll bring a good bottle of wine."

Aziraphale gave him the sweetest smile before leaning in to plant a kiss on his cheek. "Lovely. Let's get going, then. You've already distracted me from work."

"Oh, shut it. You're always on my case about 'honoring reservations'. Even though this restaurant doesn't even have reservations!"

"It's the principle of it, dearest. Mainly, I do it so we follow through with all our dates." Admitted the chubbier being.

"Angel, I'm whipped. I'm gonna follow through with them even if it kills me." He said as he was dragged out of the back room by the principality.

On the car ride over, Crowley had asked what the pronoun situation was with this form and Aziraphale said that, for the time being, she was 'female all the way'. The demon made a mental note of that. Even if he knew Aziraphale had never put too much thought into gender and wouldn't get too upset about it, he wasn't about to refer to her wrongly. He'd probably slap himself silly over it, no matter how accidental it would've been. With that conversation out of the way, they entered the restaurant, were seated almost immediately and their waiter brought them some drinks. At the table, Crowley was clearly still processing this whole thing.

"You're staring again, dearest." Said Aziraphale as she drank some water.

Crowley snapped out of it. "I can't help it. My brain refuses to accept that I'm not dreaming this."

The angel blinked. "...Have you dreamt it before?"

"Let's not go down that rabbit-hole now. We're in public and I don't feel like being embarrassed in front of humans today." Said Crowley, fighting off his blush.

She rolled her eyes while trying to not outright grin. "You are incorregible. Such a human reaction, immediately thinking about such things in a sexual manner."

"Never starts out that way. Usually it ends like it, though." Chuckled the demon.

Aziraphale's grin got through this time. "Well, if nothing else, you flatter me with such thoughts."

"It's just strange, y'know? I've memorized every part of you. So looking at you now, it's like I'm waiting for my eyes to focus." He explained.

Aziraphale hummed before finally opening her menu. "Funny you should mention that. It's happened to me as well every time I've seen my reflection." They both laughed.

Eventually, Crowley did start getting used to her new look. Even if it still looked like he was somewhat hypnotized by her, but that had always been fairly normal when it came to Aziraphale. He also started telling her some of his own funny experiences when he had changed form, gave her some advice, even suggested visiting some friends to see their reactions. Though, they both doubted their responses would be as amusing as Crowley's.
