The world hadn't ended. The world hadn't ended and they were still alive. The world hadn't ended, they were still alive and they were now free. These three facts put a lot of things into perspective for both Crowley and Aziraphale. Mainly, the freedom aspect.
During one of their drunken conversations in the bookshop's back room, they started reminiscing about all the places they had seen over six millennia. They quickly noticed a recurring theme. And no, it wasn't the fact that they'd often get assigned to the same places. It was that they'd quickly be sent somewhere else, as soon as the assignment was done. They never had enough time to enjoy themselves or see all the sights. Not unless they kept postponing the actual assignment until after they did all they wanted to do. Crowley had no issue doing that, but Aziraphale would always be more paranoid about getting caught while procrastinating. In hindsight, the angel regretted it immensely.
The demon shrugged at that, telling him there was nothing stopping him now. Crowley hadn't given it a second thought once they sobered up, but Aziraphale took his words to heart. Why not? After all, he was right! It isn't as though he needed to open the shop every day. Hell, he never did that to begin with! So, during one of their dinner-dates, the former principality asked the serpent of Eden to go on vacation with him. As if he knew he wouldn't say 'no'.
This was how they ended up making a list of all the places they wished they could've seen more of and left the following day.

They arrived in Spain later than expected due to several travel delays, so they figured they'd start their little sightseeing tour in the morning. For now, they would simply check-in to the hotel, order room service and call it a night.
"Sorry sir, I'm afraid the last few rooms we have available only have one bed. Will that be a problem?"
"No. No problem at all." Said Crowley sliding his black credit card over to the woman behind the front desk. He knew Aziraphale wasn't one for sleeping, that he would stay up all night doing something while to entertain himself while he snoozed away. So really, one bed was all they needed. Hence why he didn't bother prying Aziraphale away from the book section of the gift shop to discuss it. Instead, he simply got within visual range and waved around the room key at him. In response, Aziraphale nodded and quickly purchased the book he had been reading.
They fell into step together, like always, as they walked away from the gift shop. "Another 'Dorian Gray'? Don't you have like five different editions already?" Asked the demon after seeing the book's cover.
Aziraphale nodded proudly. "Yes, but those are extremely valuable. I don't have a copy to travel with."
"You mean to tell me you'll only read those books in your shop?"
"Of course! They're far too delicate to bring along in a carryon bag. I'd need to bring all my restoration materials, which would mean several more bags. It's simply not worth the risk or the hassle. I might discorporate if I ruined a priceless edition because I decided to take it with me on holiday." Explained the angel.
Crowley snorted. "Sounds like something you'd do, yeah. Forget I asked." He said as they reached the elevator and climbed on.
The room was nice, even if it was rather small. They settled in quickly and ordered their dinner before Aziraphale commented on the bed situation.
"Just one bed?"
"I know you don't sleep. I figured you'd be alright with it." Said the demon with a shrug.
Aziraphale shook his head slightly. "I have no issue with it. I'm simply surprised. I know how humans think and you're very particular about your reputation..." He said, insinuating that the staff would think they were romantically involved.
