Third person POV:

Will’s lips dragged lower, down to the boy’s neck. The small bites weren’t hard enough to break skin but definitely enough to leave marks.

He moved even lower, covering the boy’s chest in red, before moving to his stomach. The difference in how much he’d filled out since they first met was clear, and Will made sure to appreciate it.

He must have gotten a little too enthusiastic, and his mate cried out when his teeth sank deeper than intended. He was quickly reminded of his initial objective and proceeded to attempt to find out just how many places he could use to drive his mate crazy. In no time at all the boy's skin was littered in bites, and he had no complaints. On the contrary; he wanted more. He pulled Will up, guiding him back to his neck where he would feel it the most. And Will wasn’t one to deny his mate.

He didn’t give Nico what he wanted right away though. Instead he chose to drag things out a bit, enjoying watching as the boy grew impatient. He bit Nico’s ear tugging softly at the lobe till the boy made a sound of protest, urging Will to carry on. This time, the prince, getting impatient himself, wasted no time.

He moved to the where the mark of his first bite was, fangs extended, and —

Your Highness.” A voice called, following a soft knock on the door.

Both boys broke out of their haze, and had to take a moment to come back to reality. The vampire moved away first, leaving to deal with the person at the door. Nico watched as he did, not having the strength to get off the bed and so remained on his back.

He ran through everything that had just happened, not understanding even half of it. The daze he’d been in mere moments ago hadn’t completely faded. He ran his hands down his body, feeling every place Will had been. The bites weren’t bleeding -Will had made sure to heal all of them- but they were still red and tender. His hand went to his neck next, covering the largest of the marks Will had left there; the place he’d first bitten.

It brought back memories. Unpleasant ones. But this time was different from every other time he’d been fed from. He hadn’t been fed on to the point of passing out. He didn’t have to be bandaged up, or treated for yet another infection. The slight throbbing he felt was nothing compared to the pain of having his skin practically shredded. It made him realize just how cruel Luke had been. How much will had made him go through, on purpose.

“co-? Nico, Are you okay? Angel!”

The boy jumped as Will’s voice and presence finally reached him.

“Huh? What?”

“Are you okay? Does it hurt?’

“Yes- I mean- No. I- not a lot. I’m fine.”

Will wasn’t convinced, but he decided not to push. He’d let his mate tell him whatever it was when he was ready.

“If you say so, I’ll trust you.” He said instead, wiping at the lone tear that had managed to escape his mate’s eyes.

Nico couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty. He knew Will was trying to help, but there wasn’t much he could do. The memories were there and that wasn’t something Will could fix, so he might as well save the prince the trouble.

“Did- Um- who was at the door?”

It was an obvious attempt to change the subject, but Will let him.

“A servant. My father wants me in his study.”

Will was…leaving. That was the only thing Nico heard. He didn’t want Will to leave. But he wasn't going to be clingy- he didn’t want Will to get mad at him, so he said nothing.
