" Found him." I screeched at the top of my lungs, pumping a fist in the air. Ross jerked awake next to me, blinking rapidly at the bright computer screen. " Found who?" Ross questioned, pushing himself to a sitting position. I stared at him blankly before smacking him upside the head. " Oww. What the hell?" " I found Chris." I continued as if nothing had happened, gaining slight satisfaction from his teasing glare.
Ross sobered up, his face turning to astonishment. " Already? It's been two days." He protests, snatching the computer from my lap. I slapped his hands, rising up from the bed. " Yeah I just used Marissa's advice on what to search for and he popped up." I ran my brush through my hair, wincing when I contacted a knot.
Ross just stared at the screen, rolling his tongue around his mouth. I smiled at how cute that was, but knew it meant he was thinking hard. I sighed, sauntering over to him. Picking the laptop off of his lap as I sat in it's place caused him to give me a curious gaze. None-the-less his hands soon found my hips, massaging circles in them. " Whats with the face?" " What face?" He countered innocently, shifting his eyes around.
I poked his forehead..., hard. Scowling as he rubbed it he stuck his tongue out at me. " That face dipshit." I finished crudely, slightly bouncing on his lap. He hastily stopped me as I soon found out why. I felt a lump under my area, causing me to chuckle hysterically. " Ha ha, laugh it up." I saw the slight pink on his cheeks, showing how embarrassed he was. I pinched his cheeks, my face closing in on his. Once my face was a few inches from his I stopped, cooing like I was talking to a baby.
" Awe, Rossy poo, don't be embarrassed. There come's a time in every boys life when he hits pu--" " Shut up." He breathed against my lips cutting me off with his own. I moaned slightly at the feel of his lips before remembering to stay on topic. I smirked as an idea came to mind. I reluctantly pulled back, leaning my forehead against his. " So, whats. With. The. Face." I accentuated each word with a kiss, each a second longer than the other.
He huffed, bumping his head back against the headboard, amused at the slight creak it gave. " Christi is like a mother to me. She has always helped me, through thick and thin. But I'm not so sure about this anymore. Risking your life for hers just..., doesn't seem worth it." I gaped at him, not believing this was the same boy who tortured me. Then a thought popped in my mind. A thought that scared the hell out of me.
" Ross, what are we?" I whispered gently, not exactly sure of why my voice was so soft and husky. He looked taken about, as if second guessing his next words. " Renny..."
Ross*
" Ross, what are we?" Laurens' husky voice sounded, seemingly coming out of nowhere. I wasn't sure of what to say. But I did know how to follow my gut. " Renny..., things have changed between us. There is no denying that. And I-I, oh god." I breathed, literally slapping myself in the forehead. Now or never Ross.
" Lauren, I like you. Alot." I admitted, tucking a strand of her chocolate hair behind her ears. She beamed at me, bringing a load of relief crashing into my lungs. It felt as if a whole weight had been lifted from my chest, just telling her how I felt. " I like you too Ross. Alot." She mocked in a deep voice, a glint in her eyes. I playfully scowled at her, leaning in for another kiss.
She granted my request, capturing my top lip. I smiled, loving how great it felt to have her in my arms. To feel her lips on mine. I was girlishly happy and I needed to man up. My smile turned into a smirk, knowing where I was taking this. I flipped her on her back, placing my lips at the base of her throat. I felt her laughter revirberating unto my mouth, soothing it. " So Ross, are we, you know...?" She trailed, basically moaning through the sentence.
" What?" I played dumb, silently laughing at her red cheeks. She caught my laughter, rolling her eyes at me. She sat up, reaching for the computer. I groaned in frustration, grabbing her outstretched hand as I pinned it to the bed. " Come on Ren." I persuaded, leaving brisk kisses all over her face. Her intake of breath encouraged me, running my hands through her hair as I connected our lips once again.
" Five minutes." She griped into my mouth, her hands cradling my face.
Yep, a guy could definintely get used to this.
Lauren*
ChrisHanson21: So, when can we meet? U know in person.
ScarlettNadeen88: Whenever you'd like. How about tomorrow?
My hands clicked against the keyboard swiftly, my anxiety growing with each word. Ross was behind me massaging my back to calm my racing nerves. I had contacted Chris as soon as I found him, instantly beginning our communication. I made my name Scarlett Nadeen instead of using my real name, which would be too risky. A ding sounded from the computer, alerting me of Chris' reply.
I exhaled through my nose, clicking on the chat box.
ChrisHanson21: Tomorrow is Great. The local park?
ScarlettNadeen88: Awesome. See you there at...8?
He sent his agreement since we already new we were in the same area. " It's done." I whispered, staring wide-eyed at the bright screen in front of me. Ross hadn't said anything, supposedly lost in his own thoughts. I knew that he didn't agree with this, but we had to do it for Christi and for dad. " Ross...Everything will be fine." He nodded, heading towards the bathroom without another word.
