We had left the hospital, heading towards Christ's car, Ross holding my hand. I felt kind of awkward, allowing him to see me like that. So vulnerable, and a complete wreck. I'm embarrassed truthfully, now that he knows my whole story, and I'm still trying to figure him out. I let out a breath, stopping in my tracks.

" Ross, listen I..., Thank you." My voice breaking near the end of my sentence. Ross turned to me, a small genuine smile plastered on his face. " Thank you." I'm sure my face was the picture of confusion as he explained further. " For trusting me with everything. For coming with me. For everything." I beamed at him, hooking my arms around his neck.

" So where to?" I inquired, my voice muffled in his neck.

Ross*

Her hot breath fanned over my neck, involuntarily making me shiver. I thought over her question, not entirely sure of the answer myself. " The park bench." I teased, squeezing her against me, rubbing circles on her back. " Ha-ha, your so damn funny Ro. Now really?" " I'm not quite sure." I admitted, slightly exploring her body stealthily, hoping she wouldn't notice.

" Do you have any money?" I pondered that thought around in my head, thinking it over. " Five hundred, give or take." " Then lets get a motel for the night, figure things out." She suggested, leaning back in my hold, much to my dismay. I nodded, unable to form a coherent answer with her looking at me. Jeez I was turning into such a girl.

" It isn't..., that bad?" Ross offered, more of a question than anything. I glared at him, pointing at the mysterious stain on the wall. We had arrived at a random motel thirty minutes ago. Granted it was only fifty a night, but it was dirty as hell.

" Ross, if I can't identify that stain, than it is that bad." I exentuated the word that with air quotations. Suddenly his rumbling laughter filled my ears, echoing off the dingy walls. " What is so funny?" I snapped, resulting in him laughing harder. I lifted my hand, ready to hit when he sobered up, coughing off the last of his laughter.

" Sorry, sorry. It's just..., our situation." I huffed, flopping on the squeaky bed. I groaned when I heard the creaks and protests of the worn out matress. Ross followed my actions, snickering when he heard the sound. I slit my eyes in his direction, earning a fake innocent look from Ross.

I crossed my arms, turning my head. He sighed, rising into a sitting position. " I bet I can make you laugh." Before I could stop him, his lips were behind my ears, on my soft spot. Giggles flew from my mouth uncontrollably, effectively ridding me of my bad mood.

I'm not sure what was happening between us, but it was a change. I'm just not sure what kind.

Ross*

I smiled once I felt her giggle against my lips, vibrating through her throat. I was about to take a chance, but I admit, I was scared. Before I could talk myself out of it, I ripped my lips from her soft spot, crushing her mouth with mine. I felt her stiffen in surprise under me before moving her lips against mine.

I grinned against her mouth, sliding my tongue across her bottom lip. She kept her lips shut, but I noticed her shudder of pleasure when my tongue caressed her mouth. I bit her bottom lip, just enough to make her gasp. I took my opportunity, sending my tongue in her mouth.

I sucked on her tongue, feeling her moan in my mouth. I pulled back, looking into her eyes.

That was the best kiss I've ever had, even better than the one at the party. This one was deeper, more passionate in a way. And it scared the hell out of me.

" What was that?" I breathed, my voice slightly hoarse from lack of oxygen. His eyes had a mysterious gleam in them, lighting them up like timesquare on christmas, as cheesy as that sounds. " Testing the waters." He smirked, gliding his hands up and down my sides, stopping at the curve of my breast.

" And how were they?" I asked, cocking my brow in curiousity. " Amazing." His tone was so simple, yet made me blush ten shades of red. He placed his lips at my collar bone, trailing kisses up my throat. I bit my lip, holding in my sound of absolute bliss, not wanting to inflate his ego.

" Yeah, well stop testing them. Get off me." My voice was so weak it was embarrassing, almost coming out in a moan. " Once more, with feeling." He joked, grazing his tongue on my earlobe. I let out a humorless chuckle, shoving him off of me. He sat up, sending his eyes skywards. I hopped up, grabbing my bag, skipping to the bathroom.

As the hot water ran down my skin, I thought over the past couple of days. I don't know whats going on between Ross and I, but we've become closer since Christi went missing. The whole idea of Ross and I chasing after a psychotic possible killer freaked me out. But it meant alot to Ross, so I'm going for it. I just hope we get through this...
