"Where have you been?" Gracie asked when Lucie plopped down on Gracie's bed that evening. Her leg's aching from the snowboarding and her eyes were tired and heavy.

"Nowhere," Lucie sighed closing her eyes. Gracie stood up from her reading chair and walked over to her bed. She was dressed in her good jeans and a nice sweater, that Lucie actually recognised as one of her own. She was wearing makeup and her short blonde hair was straightened. Lucie wondered what her sister had planned for them this evening and begged it wasn't something elaborate so she could steal away and have an early night.

"Lucie?" She questioned folding her arms across her chest and giving her an inquisitive look.

"I was snowboarding, and no thanks to you all I actually managed," Lucie said sitting up and stretching her arms out in front of her.

"Lucie let go of this vendetta, you don't have to compete in every event to beat them. We can do it! It's not all on your shoulders, we are here too!" Gracie said turning away from her and walking over to her bedside table where her phone was on charge.

"I know," Lucie sighed.

"I just can't wait to see the look on Isaacs's face when -" Lucie trailed off. She had made a mistake. Gracie's eyes snapped up to Lucie.

"Isaac?" Gracie asked raising her eyebrows.

"The snowboarder," Lucie nodded, "I heard some people talking about him."

"Right," Gracie responded, not looking entirely convinced. She walked over and opened her wardrobe, "any way we are going to dinner, I forgot to text you earlier. Not that you would've seen, you were.... busy."

Lucie rolled her eyes and she looked away.

"you better get ready, Candice made the booking for six and it's already five."

Lucie groaned and rolled off the bed, she was so sore from snowboarding today the last thing she wanted to do was go out for dinner. But nonetheless, she dragged herself to her feet and walked into her room.

She couldn't be bothered dressing up so she threw on a white knitted sweater that fell off of one of her shoulders. She pulled on her faded tight blue jeans and slipped her necklace on. It was a snowflake encrusted with crystals that her parents had given her on her 18th birthday. She let her hair down as it had curled at the ends from getting wet in the snow. She quickly whizzed to the bathroom and put on some makeup and was finished just in time to leave at 5:30.

"Over here!" Candice waved Gracie and Lucie over to the table they were sitting at.

"Hey hey!" Lucie said sitting next to Benny and took a sip of his drink. She winced, strong vodka.

"Have you guys ordered yet?" Gracie asked. Candice nodded.

"We got you guys the same," Ross said, "Chicken Parmi."

"Yummmmmmy" Gracie smiled.

"Anyway, I was just saying," Benny said, "the younger kids are doing so well I think Scotty is going to let me coach them the entire season."

"Wow good job Benny!" Candice clapped.

"Coach Benny," Lucie wondered, "I like that!"

Ross ordered a round of drinks and they lifted them on toast to Benny,

"To coach Benny!" Ross said and they clinked their glasses together.

"And she slipped right down the stairs!" Gracie laughed.

"It was slippery!" Candice protested making everyone laugh even harder.

Lucie got up to go get a round of drinks for everyone. She spotted Isaac at the bar. She walked over and perched herself next to him.

"Is this all you ever do? Drink and crash into innocent people on the slopes?" She asked as she held up five fingers to Sam the bartender.

"I could say the same about you, I swear this is the 10th round for your table," Isaac said turning to her. He was waiting for his own round to take back to his table of black and red at the far end of the bar.

"We can hold our liquor," Lucie smiled smugly, "we could drink you under the table."

"Is that a challenge?" Isaac raised his eyebrows.

"Maybe."

"Little one, don't go talking shit if you don't have the actions to back it up," he sneered.

"Fine," Lucie snapped, "falls v Thrasher, first one the vomit loses."

"You're on!" Isaac said offering her his hand, to which Lucie ignored, turned sharply on her heel and waltzed back to her table to announce the night's activity.
