"Dinner is on the table," George called out. Mexican night at the Regatta's was always a good night. Candice even made a special appearance on Mexican night, Ross and Benny were no-brainer attendees. Anna sat at the head of the table with George at the opposite end. The rest of the group slotted in where they could.

"As usual you have outdone yourselves, George and Anna," Benny said eagerly dropping a tortilla onto his plates and loading it up.

"Why thank you Benny dear," Anna smiled.

"You guys ready for the tournament?" George asked, "I saw the comet kids out on the slopes today they didn't look half as bad as usual!"

"Oh George, be kind," Anna scolded.

"I think we have nothing to worry about," Gracie said confidently.

"Your confidence is inspiring," Candice said, "I'll be sure to cheer extra loud this year!" Candice was a great snowboarder but she never competed, no one gave her shit for it thought because they know she would whoop their ass in a race, she just didn't like the environment she said it was too toxic. She would rather enjoy herself in peace. She did however put together a mean cheer squad out of all the junior snowboarders she was teaching.

"I'm ready to kick some black and red butt," Benny agreed.

"We do certainly have our work cut out for us," Ross warned, "Did Lucie tell you about the accident this morning?"

"Accident?" George and Anna gasped at the same time.

"Really it was nothing..." Lucie started.

"Some Thrasher scum ran into her on a run and bowled her right over," Gracie said shaking her head.

"Are you alright my love?" Anna asked patting Lucie's hand.

"I'm fine, it was just rude," Lucie said.

"You will get your revenge when you beat them," George nodded, "Falls mountain for the win!"

It was Friday already and Lucie had just finished her race training for the day when she and Benny decided to go get a hot chocolate down in the village bowl.

"That was a good session," Benny said walking into the warmth of the bar. It was quiet for a Friday afternoon but soon would pick up as they were having a viewing of the football game tonight.

"Yeah, better than yesterday," Lucie agreed, "Hey Tommy, two hot chocolates please."

Tommy at the bar nodded, "baileys? Whiskey? Bourbon?"

"Baileys for me," Lucie said.

"Me too," Benny said as he sat down at the bar. Lucie unwrapped the scarf from her neck.

"We still have heaps more to do before we are ready for the tournament," Lucie sighed.

"Are you kidding? You are the best, you don't need to do any more training or you'll make the rest of us look bad!" Benny cried.

"Thanks, Benny but I really want to beat them, besides as a team we are already very strong. I just feel as though we are missing something like maybe we need to train one of the new recruits from last season?" Lucie wondered.

"Lucie relax," Benny said as their hot chocolates arrived, "we have everything under control."

Lucie nodded as she took a sip, "you are probably right."

The chair next to them pulled out and three boys sat down.

"Three beers please," one of them said.
