12. his friends notice

the next day arrives quicker than taeil hoped it would. but it's bound to feel like that when he went to sleep so late, obviously. sure, staying out most of the night with doyoung had been fun, but it wasn't exactly the smartest idea before another school day.

taeil basically rolled out of bed. well, not basically but quite literally, since he fell onto the floor instead of sitting up and straightening up to get out of bed. when he stood up after his fall out of his bed, his covers ended up tripping him and sending a tired taeil right back onto his bedroom floor with a yelp.

what a way to start the day.

after getting dressed for the day, taeil had obviously gone for his phone to check instagram. the first thing he saw was that picture doyoung took of him the night before, the caption reading: had fun with the moon yesterday <3

with a smile on his face, taeil liked the post and went to his direct messages to beat doyoung in sending the first good morning message.

taeil made and finished up his breakfast after he finished texting doyoung and hurriedly left for school when the time came. his entire body was trembling with excitement to see doyoung again. again, something he's never felt until today. or at least, acknowledging the feeling.

once he gets out the car with his backpack and closes the door and locks the entire vehicle, he's greeted by being engulfed in someone's familiar arms and smell. doyoung.

"there, i hugged you!" he heard before doyoung pulled away from a wide-eyed and pink-faced taeil. "oh sorry, did i scare you, illie?"
