For about 15 minutes Wilbur and Y/n wondered around, laughing and joking about old stories they would tell each other. Y/n had told him about when Dream had got his helmet stuck on his head once, and he shared stories about the countries he had been to before coming here. Y/n was fascinated, and listened in wonder to his stories.

"I've always wanted to visit other countries" Y/n said, giggling at his jokes and little impressions.

"Why haven't you? You've lived a pretty long life already" he said, not taking any notice of the fact that Y/n had stopped laughing. Her face was duller and She had slowed her walking pace down.

She sighed. "I havent been able too. From when I was 16 I haven't been anywhere outside of the Dream SMP" she said quietly "Ever since my parents left-" a single tear rolled down her cheek, cutting her off. She always tried to hold back her emotions around people, but talking about her parents always made her sad.

Wilbur furrowed his eye brows and smiled a sympathetic smile at her, trying to make her feel a little better.
"It's Ok, you don't need to talk about it" he said, comfortingly. He looked down at his friend and saw a small smile force it's way onto her lips as the tears fell. She looked back to him and put on a forced smile, before wiping away the tears and sighing, another droplet escaping her eye.

Even though she was trying to hide it, Will could see she was struggling.

The way he made her feel safe was like no-one had ever done. The way he spoke quietly and softly, and didn't force her to say anything she didn't want to.

Without even thinking, she suddenly leapt forward into Wilburs arms and wrapping her own tightly around his torso. All of the emotions that she had bottled up over the years came pouring out as she sobbed into his chest.
Will was slightly taken aback, but the protective side of him took over. Almost immediately he wrapped his left arm around her shoulders and stroked her hair with his right.

"Why did they leave?" She said, tears rolling down her face and her speech muffled by his shirt "Why did they leave me? Why did they leave a 16 year old girl forever?" Wilbur felt speechless. This poor girl in his arms felt helpless, and he couldn't help. He continued to stroke her hair hug her tightly.
"Shh" he cooed, trying to comfort her. "You're ok"

"But why did they leave me Will?" She asked still crying into his chest.

The fact was, Will did know. He had known ever since he had met her. He had know ever since her parents left.
But obviously she didn't, and he had been told to never tell her unless she was dying.
Knowing this made him feel even worse, knowing that he could tell her at any point, but he couldn't, and she was crying helplessly in his arms.

He had to lie directly to her face.
"I don't know Y/n, and you know how sorry I am for you" he said, pulling her away from his body and holding both of her shoulders so she would look him in the eyes. At the sight of her red and puffy nose and eyes, Wilburs stomach dropped, but he needed to stay strong.

He could tell that nothing was working, so he tried his last option. Sighing, he flicked her a small smile and wiped away yet another tear from her face.
"Do you want to cry it out?" He asked, leading her over to a wooden bench under a tree and sitting down. She gave him a small nod and leaned onto his chest, again letting the tears escape from her eyes.

Will rested his head on hers and rubbing her back as he watched the sun slowly set below the walls. All Y/n remembered before completely fallimg asleep was the gentle rise and fall of Wills chest and the slow pressure of his hand on her back as the tears rolled. She felt safe.

----------
Y/n opened her eyes to the bright sun behind her and Wilburs head resting on hers. They were still sitting on the wooden bench that Will had sat with her on last night as she cried. She had forgot how good it felt it was to cry something out. She wished she had someone to do that with 7 years ago...

"Goodmorning" came a deep voice above her ear. Wilbur lifted his head off of hers and looked at Y/n contently. Her eyes were still puffy and her cheeks were red, but she looked better.
"Are you feeling any better?" He asked as he stood up to stretch.
"I am, thanks to you" Y/n said yawning.  "You know sometimes you are too nice for me" Wilbur giggled at his statement and held out his two hands for her to take.

She stood up and they started to walk back to the van.

"Hey, Thank you. Thanks for last night" she said quietly. She turned her head away and chuckled a bit.

Wilbur hugged her around the shoulders and smiled. "Yeah no problem. Besides, I couldn't leave you all night by your self feeling miserable"
"But we didn't have to sleep out all night" she said as she cracked her back jokingly.

"Well, the van isn't big enough, and I don't even know where you live so-" Will said cutting himself off to look at his friend. "Where do you live?" He asked, suddenly realising one of the most important things he should know about Y/n, given her being... her.

Y/n giggled a little and rubbed the back of her neck. "I don't really. I have a bed and just kinda set it up where ever I need it. It isn't as bad as it sounds, really" she added as she saw Will looking down with a worried look. Suddenly his face lit up.

"Why not, for now, you come and live in my ball" he said enthusiastically, pointing over to a wooden sphere suspended under a natural stone arch. She was quiet impressed.
"Alright, if I won't be bothering you too much" she agreed as he gave her a reassuring nod. "Where do Tommy and Tubbo live?" She questioned.

Wilbur began to walk into his van as he explained.
"Tommy, he currently lives in a small dirt shack on the Dream SMP. It's kind of his pride and joy." He said as Y/n listened almost over-interested, making him laugh. "And Tubbo lives in a large wooden house on the outskirts"

Y/n looked at him puzzled.
"Wood? Couldn't that burn down?" she said, reminding him of the recent Alyssa incident. Will paused, but kept the confidence in his voice.
"No, they wouldn't burn down an innocent persons house, that's against the server rules" he said, although there was a hint of worry in his voice.

For the rest of the day Y/n helped Will gather supplies for the walls, helped Tommy and Tubbo with buildings and moved into Wilburs house. Even Eret had been a little bit social to her. She finally felt like she belonged.

And Will was right. They wouldn't burn down an innocent persons home, would they.
