Prophecy

Nyree's POV

I listened to what Zain had told me. It was hard to understand but he made this happen. "Why" I said once I found the word I wanted to tell him. "I had too" he said as he looked pained.

"This is the only way for our daughters to have a future" he said trying to explain to me. "No this isn't right" I said as he tried to hold my hands. I turned away from him in pain.

"Look it is what needed to be done" he said we'll I turned to look at him. "But why, they are our daughters" I said sounding hurt. "I know but I had a prophecy that this needed to be done" he said.

"I know that's how I came to exist and so did the celestials" I said as I was mentioning to his prophecy. "This is why I have been torn between them" he said with his head down.

"What do you mean" I asked to see if he was telling the truth. "Our daughters will have to make a tough decision" he said as he got quieter. "Why" I said as I took a step towards him.

He shook his head back and forth. He looked up to me feeling ashamed with himself. What does he mean I kept thinking. Finally he said "They have to pick which side they are on for the war."

"A war" I said as I put a hand over my chest. "Why" I said angry. What has he done to put our daughters in danger against each other. "Because this will start the new age" he said almost in a whisper.

"We have to stop this before it happens" I said. "It has already gotten out of hand" he said. "What does that mean" I said. "It has already started" he said as he turned his head to the side.

I turned to face our daughter Irisa. She saw as she turned to run away. I wanted to chase her but I knew Zain did this on purpose. He knew to tell me this here. "What did you do that for" I asked him.

"It had to be done for the new age to begin" he said as he sighed in defeat. I couldn't handle this he started something that shouldn't happen in the first place. Now I have to fix it myself.

I have to save my daughters from going to war. He walked away before he told me what war they we're fighting on but I felt like this wasn't good for them. I wanted to know who they we're fighting.

I wanted to go after Zain but I knew he had nothing to say to me. He didn't want to stop this and I felt angry with him for doing that to her. She shouldn't have heard this. I needed to see if she was okay.

I went to her room hoping I would find her there. She wasn't here but I sat on her bed waiting for her to enter. Talking to her would be the first thing I must do to see if she is okay.

I was waiting for her until she opened the door with books in her hands. "Irisa I am sorry about what you heard earlier" I said to her as she put down her books. "No it's okay" she said as she brushed me off.

"No war will happen, we are a family and we will protect each other" I said as I patted on the bed so that she could sit next to me. She sat down and I brushed her back softly. I felt her wings on her back.

She does have magic and she is a goddess. I am just hoping I can protect my kids. That's when I said with determination that "I swear I will stop this prophecy if it is the last thing I do."
